500 ml bottle from LCBO, shared with Lubiere, served cool in a tulip glass. 21AU11. Spab (3762) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2011
App.: Clear bright amber with a so-so white head.
Aroma: Lots of biscuit malt, some caramel, leafy hops?, vegetal notes, a little floral hops, British style for sure.
Palate: Medium body, relaxed effervescence.
Flav.: A little cardboard, stern, earthy, slightly nutty, burnt sugar malt, a little floral, soapy hops, restrained and still British; dry with fair bitterness and a decent biscuit malt finish.
Fair. Certainly not my favourite offering from GRB.
500 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear golden orange with moderate-sized egg-shell head. Aroma is light caramel and citric hops. Taste has same notes but isn’t so mild with and the recognizable Grand River hard water is definitely apparent. Fairly soft mouthfeel. Simple, like they say, but quite pleasant and drinkable. cfrancis (3405) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 6, 2011
Pours a gorgeous brown amber with a thinning white head and good lacing. Aroma is pine hop and honey. Taste is a nice balance of pine hop bitterness and malt and grain. Excellent beer. Another great APA from Ontario. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 4, 2011
Bottle from the LCBO. Nice orange-amber with a decently sized frothy head that leaves some nice lacing. Subdued aroma of toasted honey cookies and faint herbal hops. Flavour starts out very mellow and simple - toasted malt, herbal hops, good balance, easy to drink. Then the hops start to build as it warms, and while it never reaches hop bomb territory, there’s still some great notes of grapefruit and lemon lingering by the time I reach the bottom of the glass. Like most Grand River beers, it’s rather unassuming, but quite delicious and quaffable. Metalchopz (3364) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 24, 2011
Purchased at the LCBO tonight and bottled on AUG 03 2011. Pours a clean amber colour with a big off-white head that stays a long time and leaves decent lacing. Great Pale Ale nose with the mix of sweet malt, cereal grains and hops. Surprisingly, the taste is a bit too mild for me (especially after the beautiful aromas). Watered-down caramel with a little hop in the finish, but all too watery. Too bad, as this could be a great one. Still, refreshing overall with its little dryness in the finish. Funny, it does get better as you drink it (and no it was not cold to begin with).

Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 21, 2011
Bottle, uptown Waterloo LCBO. Medium yellow, big white head. Nice aroma - Grand River yeast, or whatever it is, is present, but so are some nice citrus hops. Taste is great - crisp, fruity, hoppy, solid light to medium malt backbone - great American Pale Ale, yet still remains distinctly Grand River’esque. A ton of flavour packed in at this alcohol percentage. This will become my go to Grand River if regularly available, nice work folks. garthicus (2925) - Dublin, IRELAND - AUG 27, 2011
(on cask) Appearance: Cloudy orange, thick white head. Aroma: SUPER Grainy, lots of grass, pepper, lemon. Flavour: Quite sweet, vanilla, candy cane. A little hoppy, some nice yeastiness, a long vanilla finish. Nice.

Clear golden-amber in colour with a thin white head, light lacing. The aroma is of pale malts, caramel, floral hops and bready. The flavour is lightly sweet, some pale malt, light caramel sweetness, toasty and rather hoppy. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a bitterness that gets stronger as you swallow.
Not bad, highly drinkable.
