500ml bottle from the LCBO. Deep amber with small white head. Caramel and hay in the nose. Sweet toasted malt with a hint of bitterness. Medium slick body. Short finish. Good but i was expecting more bite from something called Pugnacious. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 9, 2011
My Bottom Line : MarkoR (959) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 12, 2011
Diacetyl-spiked biscuity, caramelized malts build a comfortable mouthfeel in which leafy hops and their balancing finish save this Pale Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam decorates the pale amber glow.
-Diacetyl was not overwhelming, but certainly did not help the aroma.
-The soft, pillowy mouthfeel, with prickly bubbles and healthy residual sugars, was quite enjoyable.
-Citrusy hints come from the chosen hops.
-Honeyed flavors add depth to the malt profile.
-If it hadn’t been for diacetyl rearing its ugly head, this would have been quite nice.
-This was a month-old bottle, so I don’t see it being a freshness issue.
500 ml bottle. Pours a deep amber colour with small white head. Aroma is grainy malts. Plenty of hops. Eructoblaster (4329) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 11, 2012
Bottle - 500ml. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white foamy head. Decent hoppy aroma with malty and some woody hints. Its fresh, light hoppy taste carries grapefruit notes and ends with a good bitter finish. Average APA. dfearnley (2284) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 31, 2012
500mL bottle to wine glass
Aroma of hay and caramel malts. Clear reddish amber with almost no head. Burnt malts with a nice piney bitterness. Unfortunately this brew is a bit watery and thin or it would have been much better.

Rusty reddish hazy pour with a nice clingy white head. Draft at Gigs in London. Somewhat weak scent of citrus and fresh cut grass. Wet and refreshing. A bust of flavours at first that slowly mellows to almost nothing in the finish. It has just a touch of that pale ale bite right in the middle. Very subtle despite the name. Best beer I’ve had so far tonight. Slickysim (8) - - DEC 30, 2013 does not count
500 ml bottle. Pours an almost clear, pale orange amber with a short lasting white head. Taste is malty, light caramel. Light earthy, herbal, piney hoppiness. Too subtle for my liking...Light to medium bodied. Alright... BreWedge (550) - goose bay, Newfoundland, CANADA - DEC 30, 2013
500 ml bottle sample. Pours a light amber with a large pillowy off-white head. Aromas are bread, hay, over-ripe fruit, and slightly acidic, Tastes are an interesting balance between sweet and bitter. There are some gentle caramel malts offset by some copper and grass. Light bodied, strong carbonation, and a medium to long astringent finish. Interesting.
