Dark brown almost black colour. Initail taste of yummy dark chocolate, coffee and molasses. Full body and rich flavour. Bitter assertive finish leaving a crisp bold bite. IMO a little overpriced being almost a dollar per 100 ml CAD. Next time I will try to pair with either steak, meat pie, smoked meats, chili or game meats. However IMO there are better value stouts priced per ml available. Still worth a try!

473 ml can.
Pours jet black color with a large beige head. Aroma is roasted malty, some hops, licorice and coffee notes. Flavor has also licorice, malt bitterness and roastiness, subtle hop notes and grain, mild coffee on the background, dark chocolate on the finish, also some lingering bitterness. Thick enough body, not too sweet and the alcohol is not at play at all. Nice.

Canned 473 ml at Svijet Piva, courtesy of and shared with JFK10000 and rest of the guys. Pours black with medium tan head. Roasted malts, some milk chocolate, licorice, quite sweet with bit unpleasant bitterness in finish. Medium bodied, thin for this beer.

Pours black with beige head that sticks around and leaves lots of lacing. Perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Medium almost oily texture gives it a great feel on a tongue. Bit of a coffee and smoky notes, but toned down. Aroma of roast malts.

Tranquillity (2564) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 25, 2017
Caned. Thick opaque black body, thick and even brown head. The aroma is chocolate, cherry, roasted malt. The taste is cherry and coffee with a long lingering red-wine finish.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown, borderline black body with a decent if not conservative tan head. Looks good. Smell: Cocoa, coffee without the bitterness and a little sweet but everything is on the down-low though, even at a warmer temp. Taste: Some bitter coffee, burnt a little with a small sour twinge. Tastes a little like watery coffee with. Not very imperial. Mouthfeel: A bit thin & watery in the palate with low carbonation. It is smooth in a way but the beer feels unbalanced somehow. Straight black pour, lightly tan head. Aroma is sweet, chocolatey, fruity - lots of cherry scent, light orange liqueur. Taste is nice but not really "imperial" in intensity - chocolate, cherry, lactose, earthy notes. A bit dry in the finish. Satisfying, but don’t expect anything earth-shattering.

473 ml can. Black, with a thin beige head. Roasted malty aroma with coffee and chocolate, notes of fruits. The flavour is sweetish roasted malty, with licorice, coffee and smoky notes. A little alcohol warmth in the finish. Tasty.

Pours black with a beige head that laces the glass. Aroma and flavour are chocolate, coffee, with carmel malts. Good balance of bitter and sweet with a full body. Well done.
