Draft. Pours a medium, rapidly collapsing, ivory head, over a slightly hazy copper (SRM 18) body......nose is moderate toasted malts with hints of cocoa, mild toasted bread, light hops.......taste is mild malts, with slight toasted bread, cocoa, hints of sweetness, mild hop bitterness on the finish........mouth feel, medium body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation. This misses the style of an American Amber somewhat with rather simple malt and hop backbones, and too light a hop contribution in both aroma and flavor. From the General Store in Grand Teton. Pours dark amber from the bottle into the plastic cup and leaves a big frothy head. Aroma is full of caramel, and herbal, with green tea notes. Taste is bittersweet. Finishes sweet with the caramel asserting itself. Body is light, a bit watery in places. Refreshing and good. George999 (458) - Colorado, USA - AUG 29, 2016
From the bottle the color is clear and auburn in color, the head is thick and carmel colored, the aroma is yeast, a little soapy, and a slight touch of mint. The taste is caramel, but it’s not a rich amber with deep caramel flavors, it is immediately brightened with hops. The beer finishes crisp with a little bitterness on the back end of the tongue. The mouthfeel of the beer is thin. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 27, 2015
Nice lite tan head and lacing that leaves rings for the entire glass... brown/amber brew.. nice red highlites... looks very nice.
toasted malts and lite fruity yeast is at the front of the bus... PNW hops are mingling well... Aroma is better than my memories. Flavor is fresh... Toasted/munich style malts are prevalent .. mid palate a little yeast fruitiness with earthy hops... reminds me of how garden good garden soils smells ... nice body and cleansing carbonation. Pocatello bottle from the Grapevine dated 7/13/15 so fairly fresh. Nice looking bronze pour with a tan head and good lacing. Aroma is sweet, dusty malt with a hint of bitterness in the end. Pleasant flavor that is well balanced with caramel and bitterness. Nice. bnokk (535) - Lee, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 15, 2015
APPEARANCE - dark copper color. Very nice head with large bubbles and nice lacing licking the side of the glass.
NOSE - grassy hop notes like the grassland it originates from.
FLAVOR - good balance of grassy & light hop flavors with some maltiness.
OVERALL - pretty good ale with good balance of subtle hops and just enough malt sweetness. Travlr (25188) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 20, 2015
