12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours hazy orange to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity and light caramelish malty. Subdued fruity and roasted malt, bitter and dry. Bitter finish. Ungstrup (38238) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2004
A amber beer with a small amber head. The aroma is very pleasantly hoppy combined with toffee. The flavor is very hoppy and grassy as well as contain notes of caramel. The alcohol leaves a slight burn - which amazes me considering the rather low ABV (5.5%) joergen (28949) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 11, 2010

Bottle. Murky amber color, large fluffy beige head with good retention. Aroma of chocolate cake and brown soda bread. Taste is sweet brown sugar, caramel, summer fruit, brown bread. Decent. omhper (25541) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - DEC 19, 2007
Bottled. Dark ruby/brown, small head. Light grapefruity aroma. Medium sweet with clean crystal malt character. Medium bodied with restrained American style graepfruity hop profile. Shooting for balance it seems, but needs deeper, softer malt to achieve greatness. Still a highly enjoyable beer. Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 10, 2010
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Kim Nørgaard. Pours a clear deep amber with an off-white head. Nutty aroma with roasted malts. Medium body, nuts and burned caramel with a fairly decent hoppiness. Solid. 100410 Leighton (22021) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2010
Bottle. Even before I got to this page I was marveling at the exquisite balance of this beer. Pours a dark, ruby-brown with a fluffy beige head. Big hop aroma with notes of coffee. Flavor is super rich. Big and hoppy in the front, giving way quickly to a strong malt character. Lots of burnt malts and coffee in the tail. Tobacco in the aftertaste. Medium in body with average carbonation. Damn, the finish is really earthy and bitter. I wouldn’t mind if there was a little more sweetness to balance this bitterness, but I’m still digging it. Nice beer. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 10, 2010
Tasting at Papsø
Hazy dark amber color; small head. Quite nice aroma, with caramel, hops, peanuts, light ashes. Caramel flavor, nutty, with light residual sweetness and a final with more roasted and ashy malts.
