McKay’s Taphouse, Bellingham. Creamy light tan foam, thick jet black body. Cool earthy sip, oatmeal stout. Rich, thick, fruity. Julie says cough syrup, and as usual she is right on. Some alc burn at finish. Creamy finish, some harsh lactic or egg nog character. Alright. fiery_1 (927) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 13, 2016
750ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours simply black. Nose is of toasted malts. Flavour is interesting. Some coffee, oaky character, finishing in a roasted bitterness.

Dark brown color, not much carbonation, small beige head. Mild aroma of dark caramel and light smoke. The mouthfeel is too flat, lack of carbonation; moderate chocolate flavor, medium sweetness, nutty touch; very light alcohol feeling in the end.
Nice, but nothing special.
750mL bottle, pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, a touch of smoke, and dry cocoa. Flavour is well-rounded, with coffee, oak barrels and roast. Not getting much smoke and not any of the barrels really. Carbonation is too little, which leaves something to be desired and doesn’t bring out the flavours as much as possible. Decent, but underwhelming and deficient. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 13, 2016
Has a dark brown colour. But a fairly thin head. This has a touch of smoky note, with some roasty notes. Nice tarry, smoky, bourbony taste. Not the most refined, but I certainly like the tarry note. jgb9348 (6186) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 11, 2016
Shows 9,5% abv on my bottle:
Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head that lasts quite long. Aroma of roasted malt, figs, prunes, raisins, grapes, toffee and a bit of coffee, also. Medium-bodied; Assertive malty, caramel, toffee, coffee-y and especially nutty finish with the malt showing way more of anything throughout the entire profile. Aftertaste shows a bit of restraint, with some earth and malt, but nothing horribly offensive or strong that isn’t expected. Overall, a decent Imperial Stout with a touch too much complexity and not enough understanding of how the beer would play out once the top was cracked. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from DT’s Liqour Market in Cheyenne, Wyoming on 18-March-2016 for US$10,70 sampled at home in Washington on 10-October-2016 after just returning from Minot, North Dakota! alexsdad06 (10259) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 14, 2016
Bottle picked up in Wisconsin from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate, some smoked malt character, dark fruits, molasses, earthy and woody. Pretty solid. markextrae (4410) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUL 7, 2016
