Our Double Vision Doppelbock is brewed with Idaho 2 row pale and German Munich, Caraaroma, Caramunich, and de-husked Carafa malts to an original gravity of 24 Plato. The malts provide a dark leather color with ruby notes, a luxurious tan head, and a bready aroma with a hint of smoke and fermented with lager yeast from a monastery brewery near Munich.

(Une bouteille à la source): Riches malts rubis dans un traitement bourbon impeccable. Café, noisette, figues et pain caramélisé tapissant onctueusement le palais. Je regrette n'avoir qu'un seul exemplaire.

On tap at Handlebar. Pours a clear brown amber with a thin white head. Warm bourbon and a bit of wood on the nose, a touch of dark stone fruit. Malt. Medium bodied, warm wood and a hint of caramel and bourbon. Sweet and toasty, warm and lightly sweet. Gentle malt into the finish, soft malt. Slow malt, toast, caramel.

Pour at RBSG, dark brown in color with a small ring of beige head. Smells fantastic; dark fruits and bourbon barrel sweetness. Big malty flavor is sweet and woody, lots of barrel influence, but in no way hot. Very silky smooth. Delicious.

Bottle at RBSG. Pours a hazy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is wood, dark fruit, fig, bourbon. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, light booze, very good.

Pours opaque chocolate brown with a fair buff head. Aroma delivers roast malt, caramel and bourbon tones. Flavor delivers bourbon, roast malt and caramel tones with a woody hint. Mouthfeel features fair body and decent fizz. Fill your eyes with that double vision - but if you do, please contact Lyft.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted caramel malty and bourbon aroma. Medium to heavy body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

Bottle, 2015 vintage. Rich caramel malt aroma with notes of toffee, bourbon, vanilla, bread and a little bit of smoke. Pours dark caramel colored with a thin light brown head that has little retention and no lacing. Starts with sticky sweet caramel and toffee malt flavors with a little bit of bready malt in there as well. Finishes very smooth with excellent bourbon, vanilla and smoke flavors and also has just a little bit of booze at the end. Very nice!

Bottle from Boise Co-op. Pours out a silky smooth dark brown with a small ring of head. Dark, roasty malts, slight bourbon aroma. Taste is super smooth, slides over the tongue. Roast malts, brown sugar chocolate, wood. Alcohol warmth comes in late and lingers. Excellent!
