4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 mL bottle of the 2011 edition poured into a tulip glass. The appearance is a hazy gold with a nice two-finger fluffy white head and excellent lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, black pepper, and spices. The taste is great. Flavors of Belgian yeast and clove with a nice tart finish. The high ABV is not noticeable at all. Excellent Belgian style ale.
It poured a cloudy golden color with a white head. The aroma was of wheat, coriander and some minor sugar. The taste was of sugar, coriander, citrus, malts and wheat. Good stuff. slowrunner77 (12895) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 26, 2014
"nice bottle...soft pour produces a vigorous head, but the feel is spot on for the style. pretty good tripel for an american brewer. soft fruity aromas and a bit of belgian yeast spice, more in the flavor. a bit of bubble gum and fruit. very approachable for 9%."

fond as i am of the tripel style i took a liking to this even if it was marketed as a generic belgian golden ale on the label. i especially like the tripels that are opaque rather than clear and this one delivered. M82 (469) - Kansas, USA - DEC 20, 2013
A smooth-tight-frothy white head of medium stature floats on a clear sunny straw body showcasing several medium paced streamers, medium sized patches of lace all around

Bright lemon and clove combine to create a bold illuminated earthy character supported by a tawny sweet layer of apple and candied sugar, soft white pepper on a nondescript medium body with lovely tight carbonation followed by a sweet earthy bready residual with enunciated clove accents
Capped 25.4oz with smudged bottled on date of 10/31/11? at 50º into 13.75oz Stölzle Berlin
25.4 ounce bottle. Pours a nice golden color with a two inch pillowy white head that lasts. Tons of carbonation. A rather nice beer to look at. Taste is of yeast, malt, straw, fruit, peaches, wood and spice. Lots of layers of flavor that are reveled with each sip. Similar aroma. Has a very nice body. Wet, with a warming and slight dry finish. Very east to drink and quite enjoyable. Reminds me of Leffe Blonde, but better. There are several bottles in town I’ll have to pick up and save. Very good stuff.

Bottle thanks to Craig. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A big fruity nose. The flavor is candy sugar, some beet, banana, big fruity flavors, some heat. Pretty nice. Sledutah (7841) - Utah, USA - MAR 31, 2013

Appearance: Clear golden with a small white head and some lacing
Aroma: Perfume, orange peel, sugar and esters
Taste: Oranges, esters and lemon
Ok. May have been better but I just drank a Tripel that Mike brewed that was much better than this.
Golden, slight haze, off-white head. Aroma is perfumy and floral, light spice, dry crackerlike malt. Flavor is grainy-sweet malt, peppery phenols, perfumy notes, a touch of caramel malt, some lemon and a little touch of peach.

750 ml bottle from Wine and Cheese Place. Glad I finally got around to this one. Picked it up a year ago not knowing how appropriate it would be upon our return to Cincy after a 90-day road trip today. Pours a hazy gold with a small white head that dissipates into a small ring. Aroma of sweet malts, mild spice, pears, candi sugar, and mild banana. Flavor of sweet malts, pears, mellow spices, apricots, candi sugar, dried banana, and clove. Medium-bodied, with a sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Not an overly sweet tripel, maybe has mellowed a bit with a year on it. Good beer.
