750ml bottle. Poured an amber color with an off white head. Caramel, toffee, some dark fruits, and some citrus. fiveacestx (970) - Texas, USA - NOV 30, 2015
Has a nice thick caramel pour with a minimal head. Has an aroma and taste of dark fruits and apples, caramel and toffee. Medium heavy body and boozy on the back end. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 6, 2015
Pours a slightly hazed deep amber.... light tan head doesn’t stick around for too long but leaves good spotty lacing.
Nose is appropriate for the style... a pretty good dose piney hops with a floral undertone... quite rounded malt with some nice caramel and dry dark toast essence.
Flavor has all the same elements but with a nice fresh bitter bite that balances the coming malts... malts are on the sweet side, but not out of style by any means... Hop flavors are pine/floral/lesser citrus... but the hops are pretty tame on the palate for an American BW. Some minor raisin with warmth... and something that I associate with apricots on the finish.
Good body and a sorta light carbonation lends to a creamy mouthfeel... I expect the carbonation to get more pronounced with age as the bottle conditioning kicks things up a notch Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - JAN 15, 2015
750ml, bottling date 10/19/12. Cellared since purchased. Sweet, toffeeish malt aroma, with notes of brown sugar, fruitcake, slight herbal and alcoholic tinges, with a bit of sherry, spice, earth and leather. Clear deep amber-red in color with a very fine, lasting head and matching lace. Flavor profile is richly sweet and sugary but in a smoothly integrated manner, blending quite nicely with the warming alcohol, moderate hop bitterness, dried fruits and peppery spice, plenty of lingering toffee notes on the finish. Some heat on the palate, which is otherwise slightly sticky and syrupy, with a medium degree of effervescence and a massive body. The age has done it well, to be certain -- I tried a sample of this when it was fresh and it did not approach this level. That said, if you are holding onto some of this, I wouldn’t sit on it for very much longer. baraciisch (3163) - California, USA - NOV 10, 2014
Caramel, amber in color... Aroma of caramel, toffee, light hops... Notes of nuts, overripe fruits, citrus and pine hop bitterness and alcohol burn on finish... Solid

"Smell, look, flavor typical for a bArleywine. Done well with strength but not a lot of alcohol showing. Lots of malt and dark fruit. Some spicy bitter hops and bread as well. Would have liked this fresh (this one is 14 months ipa). "

750ml bottle. 4.99 at walgreens. Sturdy barley wine. Not sure how it was aged. Lots of dark fruit and caramel with still a bit of hops lingering through
At this price makes other similar beers look like jokes. onceblind (9399) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 20, 2014
On tap at World of Beer-Cherry Creek. Cloudy dark gold copperish with a thin off white head. The aroma is nicely sweet with a little nose of cherry and raisin, some sweet honeyed toffee, and a light booziness. Lovely flavor with sweet toffee, a little booziness, a touch of raisin and cherry, and a brown sugary sweetness. Pleasant and sweet and fruity. raradel (343) - Atlanti Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 22, 2013
Enjoying this from Growler Station in Greenville, SC. Being able to get this "cellared" is nice because its very mellow for the profile. Very fruity, a little bready with the aging, but I think that helps mellow the ABV. Really good.
