bottle. deep golden with small head. no haze at all. there’s some light wheat, but i sure don’t detect anything i’d identify as a hefeweizen. well below average. slowrunner77 (13203) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 27, 2014
"if i don’t think of this as a pumpkin beer (listed first on the bottle) i can really dig it. this was the first of two unique beers i had tonight. color of a brown ale, body somewhere between brown and porter. very smooth, and supports the flavor well. starting colder, the lemon was front and center and at first could be mistaken for citrusy hops. at a cool temp, this beer was at it’s best, as the yams and herbal flavor and aroma really blended well with the lemon. warmer, the lemon fades, and the fenugreek takes center stage. interesting beer. misleading, though, as pumpkin is the one thing you don’t really taste or smell. too bad too, Elysian does pumpkin best."

[Tap] Hazy pour is light yellow in color. About an inch of foam on top. Highly carbonated. Aromas of yeast, wheat malt, mild banana esters and light grass. Taste is pretty similar, with banana and wheat malts coming out the most. Mild citrus finish. Not getting much clove like one would expect. Lighter in body. A fine beer, but definitely lighter in body and less flavorful than than the better examples of the style. Niko100 (3012) - Chicago, New York, USA - AUG 2, 2014

Pretty much what you would expect. A very pale, murky blonde beer with hints of wheat, bread and banana. Lots of carbonation and a bit of hops. WVHouseofBeer (1108) - West Virginia, USA - JUN 9, 2014
Run of the mill Hefe. Pretty weak aromas and flavors consisting of the typical yeast, fruit and bubblegum. Light body. Not bad but a forgettable beer. crossovert (14128) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2014
355ml bottle. Easy-drinkign american-tinged hefe, lots of spice lower body, not as sweet. SlimHabib (484) - Redondo Beach, California, USA - APR 14, 2014
Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with decent head and some nice lazing. Very light aroma with small citrus smell. Light and the palate but also on the taste. Somewhat dry finish. Okay for just having a beer, but not a favorite.

Fr0m the b0ttle this p0ured a fairly clear yell0w/g0ld b0dy with l0ts 0f bubbles and a 3-fingered head. The ar0ma was very bready, d0ughy, and yeasty. It tasted lightly lem0ny with raw bread d0ugh and light fresh fruit. It finished dry and quietly tangy. 0kay as a quencher, but n0t interesting en0ugh t0 pursue further.
