COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Howling Wolf Weisse Bier is an unfiltered Bavarian-style Hefeweizen. Brewed with a hearty amount of wheat, this Weissbier pours a light clouded golden color with a generous head. Gently hopped to balance the malt sweetness, Howling Wolfs flavors and aromas are subtle with a hint of fruit and spice. At 5% alcohol by volume, this light-bodied ale is a refreshing session beer for any time of year.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. The aroma is strong with wheat and a slight hint of lemony tartness. Not much spice. The flavor is a little more spicy with some bubblegum sweetness and lemon. It has a very wheaty finish with another light hit of yeast. Not bad, but a little too sweet and not enough clove.

Thanks to ericandersnavy for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a hazy light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is wheat, grain and bananas, about what I expect in the hefeweizen. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of wheat and banana notes with some clove mixed in. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. This tastes and smells like a hefeweizen should, but something about it doesnt sit that well with me. Decent, but not one of the better Grand Teton beers I have had.

(12oz bottled 9/23/10 thanks to ericandersnavy) clearish gold, few bubbles. Nose of coriander, huge banana saltwater taffy. Taste of wheat, banana, bubblegum, old grain. Linger of old banana extract. Not good.

12 oz bottle from Tipsys into a goblet. Pale, orange, unfiltered appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of bready malts, coriander, citrus fruits, banana, spices, noble hops and herbs. Similar flavor, pretty light and refreshing, finishing on the sweet side. Pretty balanced and sessionable.

12oz bottle. Hazy unfiltered bright orange-tan body. Fluffy white heads fades away to an oily residue after a few minutes. Sweet banana aroma. A little sweet, not much hop or clove balance, but still a decent enough example of the style. Medium bodied, easy drinking, sort of middle of the road.

Cloudy orange bright pour. Bottle at knife and tine. Grapefruit aroma. Sweet. Fruity and coconut pineapple tastes. Pretty good for the style

dark yellow with an orange haze. Some sediment in the bottle. Everything else is light. Light flavor and light aroma, even if they are correct. Banana and cloves with some coriander. It needs more sweetness and more flavor.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of pale wheat, curacao and other orange and citrus fruits, coriander seed and a hint of bubble gum - very nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive wheatie and yeastie flavour at first with a herbal sweetness soon afterwards and some light spices noticeable. Aftertaste is mostly dry, showing some wheat, a little curacao and a hint of the alcohol. Overall, a nice very mild german wheat with some sweetness, but mostly a dry lingering flavour with some light spices too. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tustin, California on 06-December-2011 for US$1.79 sampled at home in Washington on 14-March-2012 when Detroit Lost to Anaheim in hockey and it first hit 80degrees Farenheit in Washington - in early MARCH.

A slightly fruity aroma. Very good appearance. This is pretty nice, even though Im drinking it a little warm. Has quite a bit of wheat, some banana. Decent.
