Pours a darker golden colour. Apple, citrus and wheat aroma. Apple, spices and grains on the tongue. Thin and carbonated. Water after taste. Not bad jcr (2692) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - SEP 16, 2012
Bottle. Cloudy golden body. Small, white head. Light aroma of clove, bubble gum, grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. A slight tartness finishes things off. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of clove and bleach in the aftertaste. Homebrew kit-like. Fatehunter (2561) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Poured a finger and half of head on a cloudy medium straw colored body.
The aroma is banana and apricot. Nice.
The taste has some banana, mild sweetness and a chalky mild bitterness. It ran a little watery at the end.
The texture is fizzy and light with moderate carbonation.
This is a good hefe. gregwilsonstl (2466) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 16, 2012

Hazy straw yellow gold, foamy white head. Aroma of banana, clove, dirty wheat, orange. Taste is pretty good, it’s been a while since I had a German Hefe and it drank pritty good. Nice and crisp, a little perfumey. Rosebud butternuts (2396) - Denton, Texas, USA - APR 18, 2011

12 oz bottle. Cloudy yellow orange with a white spotty head. Aroma banana, clove and fruity wheat. Flavor is more fruity wheat malt with a light yeast tartness and some bread. Medium to light body with average carbonation. Nice easy drinking Hef. illidurit (2327) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 26, 2011
Pours hazy goldenrod. A pretty vigorous pour yields only a smallish fizzy white head which soon dissipates. Not very weissebier-esque. After a few minutes it appears completely still, with no ring of foam or lacing; pretty unattractive overall. Aroma is big on bananas, with lesser accents of vanilla and bread. Mostly one-dimensional though. Flavor is tasty if a little on the sweet side. Vanilla and banana up front with a crackery malt note and a touch of roast (?!) if I concentrate hard enough. Not really sure what’s going on here, it seems like maybe they used American ingredients with a German yeast strain or something. It’s a minor quibble but something doesn’t mesh quite right. The body is flabby and the carbonation is lacking, hurting the drinkability. Darkmagus82 (2302) - - DEC 30, 2014
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a slightly hazy golden-orange color with a small head of bubbly white foam. The head fades super-fast, leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a yeasty smell along with other aromas of a more wheaty and bready smell. Mixed with these smells are some aromas of fruit and spice, with the fruit being a mix of orange, banana, and pear and the spice being of a clove and coriander nature.
Taste – The taste begins as a blend of fruit and wheat with the fruit being of an orange and pear nature. There is also a decent showing of some yeast and spice from the start with these flavors getting stronger as the taste moves onto the end. The spice is heaviest of a coriander nature upfront with more and more clove and pepper joining later on. Other sweeter tastes of banana and a slightly candied sugar taste join the flavor profile later on, leaving one with a rather sweet, yeasty, fruity, and nicely spiced flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the fruity, sweet, and yeasty tastes of the brew the feel was rather nice making for a rather crisp and refreshing but flavorful brew overall.
Overall –A rather nice easy drinking and slightly sweeter and yeastier hefe. Not a bad summer style brew.
