Pours with a descent tan head... good lacing atop a pretty much black brew.
Nose shows a pretty standard American Porter.. thankfully without the promised abundant spices :-)
Flavor has the juniper and nutmeg... a bit of minor citrus zest shows among the cocoa and dart malts... this brew is actually pretty dry and keeps the spices hidden.. cinnamon still raises up . BuckeyeBoy (8473) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 16, 2011
Growler thanks to Sam. Pours out black topped with a nice tan head. Aroma was of dark roast, coffee, cocoa, and some rich malts. Taste was much as the aroma with the dark roast leading the way. Along with a good amount of chocolate and a touch of hops on the end.

Tap @ Bittercreek, Boise: Pours a dark black color with a nice tan head. The nose is roasty with notes of chocolate and coffee; a full compliment to any porter along with a sweeter side hidden underneath. The flavor is rich and robust, like astringency and the hops are only there when you look for them. The roasty levels is along the lines of medium cocoa chocolate with a toasty nutty flavor in the tail. Clean body and a nice finish. Very nice porter.
