On tap the the Brick Store Sweet Sixteen Party. Amber color, with a big, foamy, beige head. The aroma is syrup, caramel, and a lot of juicy, citrusy, and resinous hops. The flavor is not as bitter as I expected. Instead, the strong bitterness is matched with sweetness, leaving a very mellow, delicious flavor. Very heavy body, smooth, velvety mouthfeel, and a warm finish. Overall, this is a stellar beer. Aggressive aroma up front, but the flavor is nearly perfect, and the mouthfeel is outstanding. Highly recommended!
B-. Pours a clear amber color with white head. Surprised this wasn’t an IPA. Hoppy without being too bitter. Well balanced ajnepple (6417) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 20, 2016
On tap at Hops & Pie. Reddish amber and slightly hazy in appearance with a beige head. Aroma of resinous hops, pine, light caramel malt and light toffee. Similar flavor, adding a moderate resinous hop bitterness and a moderate husky/grainy sweetness. OK. markextrae (4410) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUL 8, 2016
sample from bottle, poured an amber colour with an off light tanned head. nose of sweeter caramel malts, orange, and sweet dried fruits. bread notes, and light oxidation. not a good beer. Slubgob (324) - West Hartford, USA - JUN 26, 2016
Bottle into wine glass. Looks like a red ale, moderate of white head. Slightly sweet, boozy, hint of goods head. Caramelized stone fruit. In the mouth, string malts. Hoops ate prominent, but not the overwhelming sense like I often reject from an IPA. Which is good, actually,a bit more traditional. Pretty approachable given the 8.5%. Bottle 12fl.oz. Poured into a tulip glass. Clear deep amber, tall frothy beige head, good retention, heavy lacing; aroma malts, fruity, orange, lemon, pine; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, toasted, light toffee, light fruity; fruity sweetbitter middle part leading to dry bittersweet finish, alcohol notes; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation; well-balanced and tasty apa.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, reddish amber, with a generous tan head and nice lacing all over the glass. Pine and citrus fruit are predominant on the nose but there are some malts and caramel in there too. Taste is bitter and quite hoppy, a bit boozy but very well balanced with malts. Very good, solid beer; highly enjoyable. ffbot (417) - Oakland, California, USA - JAN 18, 2016
Drank this one out of the bottle. Smell of wet grass and bare grains. Smell is earthy, uplifting and sweet in some way. Taste is greatly hoppy, but not the bitterness usually associated with that. Very bitter but in a warm, homey way. Really, really good beer lightbias (453) - USA - JAN 12, 2016
The aroma is phenomenal coming through the neck and once poured, does a hop-laden justice to the brew. Citrusy floral, this is nicely adorned and with a rich foundation of malt. Great carbonation, fabulous lacing on the glass and a deep rich, ruby caramel; what a great brew. I was hesitant at first, and passed it by on the shelf multiple times, but I shouldn’t have done it. It’s been worth it the whole time. I had no idea.

1" off white head looks like whipped cream.. tons of lace.. and great retention... The brew is slightly hazy deep orange.
Nose seems a little muted for the name of the beer .. Don’t get me wrong, there is alot of stuff going on here, but none really jump out of the glass. Lite citrusy hops and a more than a bit of caramel.. more hoppy fruitiness show as it really warms up.. and the malts help drive the hoppy nose.
Flavor has a much more fruity hops than the nose.. minerally and sorta tropical with lesser citrus.. caramel malts and toasty elements really help the hops push forward... bigger body than expected with a light carbonation... really pretty smooth.. could use a bit more carbonation to make things prance around a bit.
I am really surprised ... the hoppy bitterness was really pretty mellow.. instead it allowed the flavor additions to do the talking... Very tasty. That1Guy (2236) - Colorado, USA - SEP 24, 2015
12 oz bottle date code 9/09/15. Pretty fresh, so I’m confused why this is oxidized already. Plus it has an acetaldehyde issue. Still kinda drinkable, but not pleasant.
