Wake Up Call Imperial Coffee Porter has a distinct and robust coffee flavor that blends harmoniously with the roasted malts. Caramel, chocolate, and black malts give this ale its dark color and overtones of caramel and a cocoa-like sweetness. Only very gently hopped, the addition of coffee shines through, providing a delicious accent to this brew.

Not a bad brew. Nothing special though. Left me wanting a little more. No creaminess to this brew...

Bottle Midnight black ale with a mid-sized, lightly tanned head. Good retention. The nose supplies ample notes of espresso, cocoa and scorched malts with a subtle kiss of vanilla. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. The flavor provides lots of coffee and cocoa layered upon caramel and tangy, bitter hops. Finishes nutty, then a touch tangy.

APPEARANCE: Pours an opque black with a tan head and no retention. Lacing noted. AROMA: Coffee, chocolate, and dark fruit greet the nose. TASTE: Rich, somewhat bitter coffee along with notes of dark chocolate. Hop presence minimal. I also detected a brief olive note (???). There is a burnt-bitter afertaste. MOUTHFEEL: This is a full-bodied brew. OVERALL: This is a very good coffee porter. Would definiatly drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this on tap today, simply too bitter. I like porters, coffee, chocolate, even smoky, but this just sat wrong. Too bitter, like overly strong espresso.

On tap at (No shit) Fucking Applebees. Blow me over with a fucking feather! Poured clear black, with q reddish core. Thin tan head, fine lacing. Nose is tight, with black coffee, sweet licorice, molasses, and bitter chocolate. This isnt a giving or generous nose, its very tight, but the complexity is there... Flavours of roast, soap, spice/heat, molasses, creosote. After a 15 hour fucking drive, sitting in a fucking Applebees at fucking midnight, this drank pretty fucking good.

If you like the strong coffee taste, this is your beer but if you are looking for a perfect blend of coffee and sweet caramel/chocolate taste, you will be disappointed. I like the sweet coffee taste myself, could not recommend this to any Porter/Stout drinker.

750ml from Total Wine, Greenville, SC. Roiling dark brown pour with a vigorous head. Roasts and papery malts in the aroma. Can tell this would have been better fresh. Crisp carb, a bit paper, chocolatey, faded coffee and hops. Okay.

Served on tap at Pizza Port OB. The appearance is a good looking coffee brown with a small head. Great coffee aromas with nice malts. The flavors are coffee with an acidic edge and cocoa. Nice oatmeal flavors and texture as well although is isnt supper creamy. Medium roasty mouth. A nice coffee porter.
