balanced toward grapefruit and various citrus... but there is definitely some spiciness and an herbal quality that comes about toward the end. Malts play second fiddle.. but are more than present.. quite a bit of caramel and toasty notes.

2006 bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with thick off white head that lasts. The aroma is a strong malt bomb and grass. Medium mouth, lots of malt, hop faded, boozy, held up decently for how old this is. slowrunner77 (12043) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 7, 2014
Balanced for a double. Fruity, grassy, aromatic. Nice body too. Too bad this went away... BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 13, 2012
2006 Swingtop bottle thanks to Walt. Pours with a deep amber body with a small head. Aromas are of brown sugar, marmalade, grassy, plums, dark fruit, malty. Flavors are malty, minty, biscuity, metallic, marmalade, grassy. Not oxidized per se (really at all), but very faded hop wise. Thick bodied, syrupy, medium carbonation. unibaren (157) - 8000 Århus C, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2012
$13. Bottled april 2008. Drunk march 2012. 1 liter bottle which is a pain in the neck to open. Pleasant but not powerfull smell. Beautiful hazy orange colour but hardly any foam. Sweet malty taste with a noticible but well rounded hoppy bitterness. Very little carbonation (hence the lack of foam) but very pleasant mouthfeel. Overall a very nice IPA that showcases the positive (as well as the negative) sides of bottleconditioned beer.

Orange pour with creamy white head and lace. Medium bread, apples and resiny aroma. Sweet malt, bread, medium malt, and medium bitter well balanced. Medium bodied with good carbonation. SpringsLicker (3638) - Tennessee, USA - MAY 10, 2010
Hazy dark gold with an off-white head.
Earthy hop aroma despite it’s cellar time in the ’fridge.
The hop flavors have muted revealing the big malt base.

Cloudy orange, thin ring of foam. Surprisingly sweet - a lot of caramel and brown sugar. There are some piney hops, as well, but a lot of sweet. Also, a weird medicinal note. Thanks to Springlicker for bringing this to stevofest! lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 11, 2010
decaturstevo’s stevofest part 2. Sample from a bottle thanks to SpringsLicker. Dark orange-red, off white cover. Aroma is caramel, grassy, herbal hops. Taste is sweet, toasty, caramel, grassy herbal hops. oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2010
Pours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some bready maltsy tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste. This is one hoppy sumbitch.
