Cask at Volo, March 25. Pours a deep amber-brown with a spare diminishing frothy off-white head. Mild aroma of sweet fruit, caramel malt and light floral hops. Flavour is fruity, malty and nutty. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

[4352-20120325] Tap. Light bandaid caramel malt aroma. Slightly hazy, dark brown amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter lightly burnt applesauce malt flavour has a bit of a burnt caramel wood note. Medium body. Good. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1

March 25, 2012 - cask at Volo’s Beer for Boobs event. Slightly hazy bright ruby-brown with a decent sized diminishing foamy tan head and nice legs. Sweet and floral aroma, like a higher ABV ESB. Taste follows, but a lot of caramel joins the floral sweetness and lesser alcohol, a bit sticky. Average body, quite grainy and slick, mild carbonation, quick finish - overall simple, up-front sweetness which leaves a light dry floral residue. Just okay.

2012-03-25. Dark red-brown body, beige head. 3+ Flavour is malty, sweet malt, with a kiss of caramel, sweetish fruity character, very light bitterness. Interesting fruity malt aroma sweet, hints of caramel, and something I can’t place, nice malt character. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate. Has a bit of a Granite house character, I suspect from the yeast influence, but it could just be me reading too much into it as well. Pretty nice. On tap at Volo Beer 4 Boobs event, Toronto

Very brown with some white head. Malty aroma. Spot on the style though surprisingly boozy. A story of malting complexity, and modestly bitter at 23 ibu.had on cask.Middling mouthfeel, good drinkability.

Deep brown pour. The aroma is a little bit malty with a touch of soft leafy hoppiness. Moderate sweetness and a little bit of toast. Decent if fairly simple.
