Mild flavor that’s lightly bitter. Flavor, including bitterness, builds with repeated tasting.

Tap at the brewpub. Clear amber-copper colour. Frothy, creamy off-white head. Thick lace. Fruity bitter, nutty malts. Light, dryish mouthfeel. pictoman (1129) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 19, 2015
Poured from the cask. Orangey brown with minimal off white head. Light floral and toffee malt. A little bland. crazy_cat_lady (600) - - AUG 7, 2014
July 4, 2014. On tap at beerbistro. Toffee and caramel flavours, touch of underlying bitterness and biscuit notes. Lovely cloudy brown colour, no head, with small amount of lacing. Very faint sweet aroma. Not bad. netty (71) - SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JUN 24, 2014
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2014 Beerbistro Toronto na vycape.
Farba krasna jantarova, jemne hutna konzistencia. Nemá velmi vyraznu vonu ale zato príjemnu karamelovo skladovú, a tak aj chuti. Horka ale nie príliz agresivna chut. V dochutí sa straca horkost a zostáva skor slad.
Velmi dobre vyvazene pivo k obedu.

Tapped at the Beerbistro in Toronto/Canada. Aroma of malt, caramel malt and some dark fruits. Color is amber copper, good and stable head. Taste ist mostly malt and caramel. Nice bitter finish. A good beer. Ferris (15304) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 6, 2013
Draft - Caramel, grains and a bitterness. Clear gold with a thin white head. Tastes just as it smells, bitterness is a little higher than expected for an English style, but still good. A slight perfume in the finish. Freaky_tiki (1245) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 1, 2013
Pour from growler is dirty copper with vague dish soap cap. Water & chocolate on the tongue. Thought I’d have something more to say. DerWeg (1682) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 20, 2012
Long bitter grassy hop finish. Opens with pale and peachy fruit, spicy peppery hop. Foggy orange gold with whisper of white head. Mild aromas of fruit. Overall very aggressive dry palate. HeistAlmighty (1156) - Saint John, New Brunswick, CANADA - OCT 30, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2011 Draft sample at Henry House. Poured with a small, foamy head, very little lacing. Amber/orange colour. Slight sour aroma. Thin, mildly bitter taste. Flat body. Pretty much everything I dislike about English bitters faithful recreated in Canada. The Best Bitter Special is better in pretty much every way.
