Had this as part of a sampler on tap at Henry House in Halifax NS. Dark ruby, almost black. It stood up very well with fish and chips with loads of malt vinegar. yespr (46530) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2017

Keefe’s Irish Stout on tap at The Henry House in Halifax where it’s sometimes referred to as "Halifax Guinness".
Medium-light body that’s smooth and well carbonated but seems a bit to thin.
Clear but very dark ruby colored body with a creamy and very durable head.
Hints of smoke and char. No fruit notes. Moderately bitter.
Lasting aftertaste of very dark roasted grains.

Draught at The Craft Brasserie. Mostly roasted malt flavors with light smokey and nutty notes, bitter coffee finish. Meh quite simple and average brew, nothing memorable. BreWedge (546) - goose bay, Newfoundland, CANADA - OCT 17, 2015

(Tap) clear, very dark brown colour with a small beige head; aroma of roast, hint of stewed fruit; watery palate; balanced flavour with a long light bitter finish Kauge (1986) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 28, 2015
Tap at the brewpub. Black with well-retaining creamy head. Very roasty, ashy character with hints of smokiness and even chocolate. Soft and light on the palate with ashy dry finish. Textbook, with what seems to be a tiny hint of hops? Nice. Scopey (15264) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 19, 2015
Keg at Stillwell, Halifax. It pours black with a long-lasting creamy tan head. The nose is soft, ash, sweet roast, coffee, cocoa, creamy, earth, dried fruits and liquorice. The taste is bitter, earthy, charred wood, burnt malt, light pepper, treacle, ash, cocoa, liquorice and coffee grounds with a dryish finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Has decent body, but not much flavour to carry it. Fine.
