creamy head, black tea colour. Reduced aroma, from overfiltration, slight roast and not much else. light beer having a slightly roasted taste and slight bitterness. boring. IPFreely (1470) - Sanborn, New York, USA - MAR 22, 2004
Growler. Very dark, not much head, as is expected from a growler. Aroma is big time roasty, quite nice. Flavor is a little light, also quite roasty, but a little one dimensional. Was a little thin. Not bad. daboskabouter (1469) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 26, 2001
I thought that all the Granite brewery beers were winners. They were all so fresh. The stout was good, not massively bitter, but mildly offensive. joeycapps (1468) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 22, 2002
Black w/ good, creamy head. Not particularly aromatic but hints of coffee & chocolate. Perhaps a little thin but still somewhat chewy. Typical stout flavours: coffee, chocolate, dates. A little bit understanted. Not extraordinary.

Nice roasted coffee scent with medium to full body, nice coffee taste and slight roast malt sweetness. Very smooth and a bit smoky in the finish, pretty tasty. Cartoonkhaki (1341) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 8, 2008
tap at the Victory Cafe.
Dark brown with a thick tan head. Malty aroma with a little toffee and a slight hint of coffee chocolate. The flavour has the same hints at the aroma but more of the roasted flavours are coming through. The body was thick and lightly watery. Pretty decent beer. mephisto (1301) - TAIWAN - JUL 3, 2007
draft at granite brewery in toronto. jet black with brown head, it has chocolatey aroma that is nutty. the flavor is of roasted barley and caramel. lack of malt profile again shows through. OKBeer (1175) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAR 7, 2003
UPDATED: JUN 11, 2003 Medium bodied, but slightly watery stout. Black colour with an average beige head. Roasted coffee aroma and flavour. Dry and bitter finish. cyrenaica (1159) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 18, 2012

Beer is poured a very dark brown with a difinite blackening around the edges and a creamy dark tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, nuts, and coffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is nutty malt, with roast and coffee. Quite enjoyable.
