Draft sample at Henry House. Aroma is not strong, light roasted malt smell. Black colour with a think cappuccino head. Taste was roasted malt, but rather thin. It was wasn’t a bad taste, but there wasn’t enough of it. Medium body. Overall, this had potential but it needed to deliver more. frylock (1144) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 29, 2004
Dark brown almost no head. Sweet buttery toffee aroma with a hint of smoke. Dry roasty with some bitterness. Fair stout Crockett (1141) - Southampton, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 14, 2005
Pours deep brown/black with a medium sized dark tan cream foam. Lots of little bubbles stuck to the side of the glass within the liquid, and some lacing. Nose of light roasted malt, chocolate, brown sugar and oatmeal. Flavour is predominated by peaty malts, blackberry, and toffee. Notes of cocoa, and coffee. Light, tart dry toasted finish. Above average but thin. RhetoricalAns (973) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 28, 2014
Draft. Very Dark Brown Pour (black) with a thick creamy head. Nice aroma of roasted malt and nuts, coffee as well. Similar taste, malts, nuts and coffee. gilvanblight (825) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2006
Typical stout look, dark pour with a huge soapy head that lasts forever. Strong coffee and earty scent. Thick earthy coffee tastes with some caramel, a tad sweet and very dry. Coffee malty aftertaste.

Due to the nitrogen dispersal looks like a Guinness clone. Black colour with typical draft nitrogen head. Little or no aroma. Roasted taste, slight buttery or creamy taste. Bitter finish. VeloVampire (625) - Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 15, 2007
UPDATED: APR 2, 2008 On tap at the Victory Cafe - came an opaque deep brown/black wit faint reddishness at the edges of the glass and a good sized greyish/brown nitro head. Very good aroma of coffee, chocolate and an earthiness as well. Flavour was quite pleasant and not as thin as some dry stouts I’ve had - roasted malt, chocolate, a milkiness, and a dry chalky finish. Superb example of the style, but could use a touch of sourness. BreWedge (576) - goose bay, Newfoundland, CANADA - OCT 17, 2015
On tap @ The Craft TO. Pours an opaque brown with a large mocha head. Aroma is slightly acidic and metallic. Tastes are coffee and roasty malts. Full body, rich and creamy, medium bitter finish. Nice beer.

Your basic black and tan stout appearance. Very roasty aroma. Too thin a body to be taken too seriously but there are lots of coffee flavours and a bit of chocolate too. A bit of a buttery mouthfeel - interesting considering it is pretty thin for a stout - and a bitter finish. Not outstanding but a solid offering. dhurtubise (568) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 5, 2002
A good roasty stout with significant front end body and light on the finish.
