Lovely black pour, thick tan head that lingers. Aroma of roasted malt, a little sweet caramel, coffee. Mouthfeel is a little watery, bitter roasted malts and balanced finish. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2005 Cask, at the brewery. Pours black with reddish tinge when held up to the light. head is tan, creamy & everlasting with excellent lace. Aroma is a bit lacking, toasty notes, but maybe my nose was plugged or something. Body is a nice mouthfull, yet smooth and creamy. Flavor is roasted malt, with some nice hoppy bitterness in there. Nice to have a real ale again.

Beautiful black appearance with a lighter head that lasted for a while. Had it at Corks (Maple Leaf Square). Taste was bitter with hints of malty sweetness. Enjoyed this very much. Excellent stout.

Chocolate-y flavor and aroma. A tiny bit of roastiness in the flavor. Rich, lasting head.

Draught at TFOB. I did not expect a stout this good!! A really thick stout with tastes of choclate and coffee.Excellent

Pours black with an off-white head. Aroma is very subtle: Roasted coffee, some hop but not much else. Flavours are also very weak and watered down - Roasted malt, coffee and very weak bitterness for a stout. Fairly creamy to the palate, but very flat.

Coffee aroma. There was no head, and the carbonation was low. I am assuming that this is due to the fact that this stout came out of a growler. Flavor is malty and roasty. Nothing special here.

A lesser stout, though in appearance, aroma and mouthfeel it is great. Taste is more bitter than I like my stouts, which is the beers downfall.
