A bit on the thin side with a roasty nose with light chocolate notes. A bit of tartness and smokiness in the finish is welcome. Pours deep brown with a good sticky creamy head. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - NOV 13, 2015
On tap:The aroma consists of mild cocoa, roast, coffee, and a hint of burnt notes. It’s a dark brown with no transparency and two finger khaki head that has great retention before eventually fading to a thick film. There is some spotty webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of cocoa/chocolate. There’s some light roasted malt in the middle. The finish has some light burnt coffee. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel.
