Fruit and roast aromas. Black a little rich on the palate and fruity with a hint of dryness in a bitter burnt roast finish. jandd1983 (4276) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - MAR 17, 2011
Sampler at the brewpub. The appearance was a dark brown to black, with a decent amount of head, and moderate lacing. The flavor was a roasty aroma, smoky, and a mild hint of coffee and chocolate. Not a bad stout. ApisAles (1575) - Greenbelt, Maryland, USA - AUG 19, 2010
Nitro pour at the brewpub in Fargo. Black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, a bit of chocolate. Flavor is toasty and smooth but mouthfeel is dissapointingly thin and watery. Fairly mediocre stout. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 17, 2010
Nitro pour at GTMW. Poured deep brown with a tall, creamy beige head. The aroma picked up sweet, toasty chocolate and nutty notes accented by a hint of lactose. The flavor found sweet chocolate and toasted black patent maltage at the core.. vanilla and light coffee bitterness surrounded and complemented well.. good moderate level of roast. Medium-bodied and creamy on the palate, especially due to the nitro pour.. nicely toasted and balanced.. candy-like.

HonusWagner was kind enough to think of me on his travels across the county. Picked up from the brewpub in Fargo.
A: Pours a nice rich black hue. Very tall tan head that exhibied no real retention or lace.
S: Very mild aromas. Hints of toasted malt and coffee.
T: Roasted malty goodness. Nice coffee with very mild chocolate. A touch of sweet caramel to go along with a bit of lactic like sweetness.
M: Medium in body, ample carbonation, a bit of dryness in the finish.
D: Good, nice mild little stout. Michael can’t thank you enough for thinking of me during your travels. illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 25, 2010
Draft at East Peoria. Pours black with a beige head. Milky and roasty aroma. Medium bodied with average carbonation, but thin in texture. Pretty basic dry stout with flavors of dark roasted malts and spent coffee grounds. Cavie (4654) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAY 31, 2010
Tap at the pub. Pours a dark black with tan head. Aroma is chocolaty, roasted malts. Nitro flavoring. Bitter upfront. Some sweetened malts. Too much like Guinness.
