tricked into going to granite city. tried to keep an open mind about the beer, as its from a chain restaurant in the mall. This was better than I expected. pours kind of like a guinness. More roasted malt and chocolate than guinness. very creamy. could have been worse.

On draft @ brewpub. Dark brown bordering black with a foamy khaki-colored head that left nice lacing after every sip. Aroma is roasted coffee, ash, and cocoa. Flavor is heavy chocolate, toasted malt, and burnt marshmallow. Run of the mill brewery stout.

Surprisingly decent. Thin, dry and easy to drink. Nice roasted malt profile, just a tiny amount of coffee bitterness.

Draft at GC Rockford. Pours dark black with a small bit of dark head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Taste if medium bitter. Lots of coffee and some dark bitter chocolate. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Soft carbonation and a long finish. Overall, pretty good. The only GC beer Id bring home a growler of.

Like a Guinness, but with a little funkiness. Not sure what it is. Maybe should be on nitro.

Wichita location: Was OK - very typical of a standard brewpub nitro stout. Creamy to the point of watery. What did stand out was a smooth hint of smoke near the finish. So yea, it had a little more character than some nitro stouts. Brown black with a firm creamy nitro head.

Very drinkable, lots of rich creamy texture, with some dark malt chocolate and caramel, with some chicory notes, and a light bit of roasted coffee acidity. Pretty dry and bitter in the finish, a solid stout.

Aroma of strong coffee, roasted malts. Pours a dark brown with a small light brown head. Taste is mainly coffee and roasted malts, with a light bitter finish. Soft carbonation, watery. Not that great of a beer.

Tap @ brewpub in Maple Grove, MN. Black color with a creamy cascading light brown head. Good robust roasted malts flavors with a smooth dry finish. A nice long aftertaste.
