I found this a surprisingly great beer. Very smooth and properly sweet. A full bodied beer that won't disappoint if you like a full flavored beer with a touch of Carmel and molasses. Enjoy!

Nice dark amber color with a short but nice head, minor lacing. Toast and caramel aroma is interesting and unique. Taste has a malt sweetness backed up by a nice mellow bitterness. Finishes clean and crisp. I like this brew a lot. ewpitts (13) - , Iowa, USA - JAN 25, 2009
Flavor is malt, chocolate, a hint of cinnamon, and has a good amount of fiz. Has a medium amount of hop that gives it a good bite. Color is dark brown with a red hue. And it comes in an awesomely huge mug. Keep ’em coming. krisolson (57) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JUN 24, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2012 Great smell. The aroma of this beer got me going. I couldn’t wait to drink it. What an interesting taste almost a grape taste. It went down smooth and left very little after taste.

Surprisingly good for a Granite City brew! Very forward caramel, nutty, toasty flavor that is very enjoyable. Thinnish body but very flavorful and tasty brew indeed. Refreshing. Nice darkish brown color too. blutt59 (6562) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 22, 2011

Pours a dark cola with light carbonation and head. Strong malt aroma. Caramel flavor with light coffee and dark chocolate notes. Relatively clean mouthfeel with light caramel and chocolate aftertaste. deyholla (11503) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 6, 2015
Sampled from the tap at the St. Cloud location. Pours a clear amber brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread and a bit of roasted malts with s hint of chocolate. Flavor is mainly dark grains and roasted malts with a hint of chocolate.
