4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2017 On tap to celebrate my doctorate! Bourbon brown color and a thin white head. Aroma is cinnamon, candied plums, and a faint woodiness. Initial taste is bourbon, a little Belgian yeast, candied fruits. Aftertaste is pleasant. Fairly full body and even carbonation. Definitely a nice beer and perfect as a winter warmer. Can't even taste the alcohol.
Pours a brown color with a white foam head. Aroma has lots of spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, clove, as well as some caramel malts. Flavor is heavier on the caramel and toffee malt side and slightly weaker on the spice side. Smooth. The ABV is hardly noticeable. Pretty good.
