2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. 341. Pours golden orange amber with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, hops. Taste is sweet upfront with a mildly bitter finish for the style. I usually like less bitter IPAs but this one truly was nothing special.
Glad the I famous replaced this beer as this was even less of an ipa. Trending in the right direction... But still. OOKPIKABLE (193) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 26, 2015
On tap at the Georgetown, Ottawa. Mild aroma of piney hops. Tastes of same. Like an IPA / lager combo. Jur (468) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 26, 2015
Draught @ Crystal Lounge, Whistler.
Clear amber, nice white head. Bit nutty and bready, but subtle green dry hop finish. Which seems a bit artificial, funny tingling on the tongue... Cool 6%ABV. Gets the job done I guess. maley1 (1301) - Calgary, CANADA - FEB 23, 2015
Clear golden amber pour with large white head. Aroma of malts, bread, hops and faint caramel. Taste of sweet malts, bread dough, faint citrus, nice hops on the finish. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated. Not bad IPA but nothing memorable. BeerAndPonies (171) - Medicine Hat, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 14, 2015
341 ml bottle from a six-pack from Sobeys Liquor, served in a stemmed, concave-sided glass. Pours a faintly hazy, bright, light coppery hue with moderate carbonation and an off-white cap that leaves webs of lace. Flowery, perfumey hops greet the nose, with citrus and the malts hanging in behind; resinous and citrus hops dominate the flavor, and I can make out the malt hiding in the background. All is generally fresh and balanced, with a thin, faintly oily body. Definitely a West Coast IPA, and generally well-done.

On tap in Whistler Village. I had this few hours ago and I simply can’t remember anything except it wasn’t good, nor horrible. Truly an unforgettable brew. rejtable (2810) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 10, 2015
Not much to say here. Sweet malty, crackers and cheerios, some earthy bitterness. Taste light/med sweet light/mer bitter. Lightish body with lively carbonation. czar (9266) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 24, 2015
pours unclear light golden orange with small off-white head settling in to a small rind without lacing. perfumey pine needles, spicy citrus, caramel, toasted and kilned maltiness (!), meds, woodsiness, pepper, earthy angles. light carbonation, light body - oily, assertive medicinal-piney-spicy-citrusy finish. may not be fresh but i’m sure this would be bad anyway. enjoyed lightly hopped amber - but they have gone over the hill with this one. they should get down to brass tacks. 341ml bottle served in a snifter around 6 - 8 degrees:
Pours quite dense dark copper with bright orange highlights. Carbonation is moderate and finely structured forming a creamy off-white head showing moderate retention. Lacing is rare and coarse.
The nose is grainy, sweet and floral. Strong caramel malts pair with citrusy and floral hops to give a balanced and inviting aroma.
On the tongue, the balance between the malts and hops remains. The brew also has great density which adds a lot to the tasting. The finale is somewhat vapory as this full-bodied IPA breaks down slowly on the palate.
Overall I thought this was an excellent IPA. It’s balanced, flavourful and, most importantly, full-bodied. I would try this on with fish or go with the food paring advice found on their site and pair it up with spicy food. Cheers! RhetoricalAns (939) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 17, 2014
341 mL bottle. Fairly orange pour with a thin to medium white head that doesn’t last long. Okay IPA, caramel malt body, some citrus and with grapefruit hops in the finish.
