Sort of average for a honey lager. Minimal head pours brown. Tastes malty and just a touch of sweetness and caramel/honey. It is alright and I tend to buy it now and again for nostalgias sake, but I dont think its anything to really get excited about. Probably on par with a Sleeman.

Clear dark straw color with moderate activity. Slightly foamy white 2 finger head, lasting around 2 minutes, with faint legs. Flavors of caramel, sweet corn and barley, faint honey and lemon, and some herbal spices. Sugary cereals, minimal bitterness. Slick full body with prickly carbonation. Light weak finish, a dash of caramel and very subtle honey, and a bit of grassy and leafy hops..hardly no honey. Very soft and bland. Okay freshness, weak flavors, overly accessible, but doesnt feel too adjunct. Overall poor quality craft.

Appearance: clear pale gold with a short-lived white head, minimal patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: grassy, pale crackery malt, corn, honey, light fruit. (5/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (5/10) Light body, moderate carbonation, medium-dry and crisp mildly bitter finish. (3/5) Unsurprisingly, its pretty similar to their Island Lager. The honey is definitely present, but doesnt make the beer appreciably sweeter. Its also not significantly better in any realistic way. One could certainly make for a decent break from the other, perhaps. I could see alternating between the two on a hot day floating on the Shuswap, for example. Again, however, I wouldnt necessarily go looking for this. (11/20)

Good for a light lager, but still quite bland for a beer. Could use some more body, but it's not overly carbonated like most in this style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

341ml bottle. Pours a clear, golden amber with a thin, short lived, fully dissipating, off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, bread, honey and light grain. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, honey, corn and bread with a mildly dry, bitter, metallic note in the finish. Meh.

Drinking from a 33 cl bottle. In the aroma some grain, citrus, honey. The clear golden beer has a medium white head. A sweet lager taste, not very special. Medium carbonated.

355 ml can from a six-pack from Liquor Depot, served in a plain lager glass. Pours a clear orange-yellow color with a bone-hued fluffy cap that leaves some spotty lace. Aroma...OMG, I believe I can smell fresh, citrusy hops punching through the sweet malt! And the same mix of lightly earthy, citrus, and piney hops comes through the honey-ish grain backbone as well. Thin-bodied, but clean, bright, and refreshing. I think this is a stealth IPL (India Pale Lager), but I dig it a good deal.
