650ml brown bottle. 2012 limited edition, 3.6%abv, Dark golden pour, short white cap with decent creaminess, sticky edges and long lasting lace. Nose has light caramel and a nice grapefruity note. Taste has dryish malt with a touch of caramel, light citrusy-grapefruit hops. Finish has light malts, light bitterness. Body is light, pretty smooth mouthfeel. A decent brew, nicely hopped for a session bitter.
Tap @ Grandville Island brewery.
Extra special Bitter ale small batch.
Brewmaster Vern lambourne. Dark golden. Complex hop flavours tropical citrus. Dry medium bitter. Very nice.

THE 2012 LIMITED EDITION (PROBABLY SAME RECIPE AS BEFORE) Single bottle purchased from Willow Park Wine & Spirits on 09/22/2012. Colour: Medium brown with medium just slightly brownish creamy head. Nose: Mostly dark grain but a touch of sulphurous gas. Some sort of unidentified woody herb. Hints of butterscotch. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium bitter, light sour. Bitter? Yes, but not to the extent that I predicted - buy completely dominant with hop notes like pine and citrus. Still quite nice. A bit of red wine vinegar pops up. Long and lingering bitter finish...yum! I love when a beer is made with low alcohol percentage and you don’t even notice that fact. This one was full of body and character and didn’t need 6% + ABV to do so! reebtogi (6350) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 1, 2011
650mL bottle poured an amber color with big white head settling down to some fine lacing. This is a big bold flavored beer considering the low alcohol. A nice balance of malt and hops. I truly enjoyed this beer from start to finish. Very nice. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 25, 2011

Hazy amber color. The aroma is hoppy and fruity, with toffee and a touch of vanilla. The mouthfeel is too dry, with reasonably toffee and toasted malt flavor; better than most beers with similar low gravity.
A good one.
6oz sample at CAMRA Spring Sessional. Pours a cloudy yellow with thin white head. Aroma of citrus hops, some malt. Very good taste, sharp lemony hops, slight malt. Tastes like a much higher % beer. Solid.
