too light but decent chocolate notes. Moderate sweetness. Ok, but not that balanced. reetron (18) - Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 8, 2014
As with most Granville beers, this one is a mild version of what could be. That being said, it is probably my favorite Granville beer. Pretty dark, nice and thick, great hop balance, moderate chocolate. Ferris (15027) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 19, 2013
Bottle - So much chocolate, bittersweet almost like cocoa powder. Jet black with a small but rich brown head. Tastes just like chocolate syrup with a long cocoa finish. Much like the BNL Flying Monkeys but not quite as good. So chocolaty that it is really hard to call it a beer, but still fun to drink. fonefan (48793) - VestJylland, DENMARK - AUG 26, 2013

[ Courtesy of fiulijn ]. Clear dark black - red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, cacao, vanilla, moderate roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, vanila, cacao. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
650ml brown bottle. 2012 limited release. Black pour with a small beige head that fades to a ring. Nose has some chocolate syrup and cocoa notes. Taste has medium roasted notes, black coffee and dark chocolate, light note of dark fruit at the end. Trace of alcohol on the tongue at the end and some warming effects. Light finishing hops and chocolate and roasted aftertaste. Medium bodied with regular carbonation. Not bad, a milder impy, but some nice flavours.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty sweetish chocolate flavor. Has a sweetish roasted malty chocolate finish. samzim (426) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 6, 2013
Strong and delicious aroma of mint chocolate, marshmallow, and a slight note of coffee. Opaque, dark-leathery brown colour with a small head. For a beer with such a strong aroma, I was disappointed with the lack of interesting or significant flavour: no discernable flavour from any other average stout. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, a treat for the nose, but somewhat disappointing on the tongue. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 15, 2013
Pours a semi transparent black with a couple inches of very light brown head that quickly turns into a small ring around the glass. Aroma is made up of vanilla, sweet milk chocolate, a mild perfume like alcohol. Flavour consists of a lot of sweet milk chocolate, light vanilla extract notes, slight roasted malt, an unpleasant alcohol shines through which for an 8 percent abv beer is unimpressive. It’s been a while since i drank gib because their regular line is pretty bad but I decided to give their big bottle series a try since they rave about so much to see if it was any better, I’m disappointed but not surprised. chrisv10 (17329) - DENMARK - MAR 26, 2013

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours red/brown with a beige small head. Aroma is chocolate, cocoa, milk cocolate, fatty, pine, vanilla, coffee, roasted malt. Taste is medium sweet and medium+ bitter. Body is near medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft. Finish is short with roasted and light astringent malt. Quite nice.
