Pleasantly balanced aroma of caramel malt and floral hops. Clear amber body is topped by a low white head that recedes to a thin partial cover with some lacing. Flavour is as aroma suggests with pleasant bitterness offsetting the caramel malt. Medium light body with moderate, lightly prickly carbonation. A very drinkable beer! Sampled on tap on St. Patrick’s day at Sunset Grill. Gerbeer (4158) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 26, 2012

650ml brown bottle. 5.6% abv on label. Orange red colour, small tan cap. Nose has some surprise pine hops, spicy and pleasant. Lots of malt in the mouth, toffee notes, grains, a bit of earth and some spicy hop. Slight bitterness and piney hop aftertaste. Medium bodied, average mouthfeel and carbonation. A nice brew, pretty simple but very drinkable. northropfrye (3732) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - MAR 17, 2013
This was better than I thought. Reddish brown colour, white head. I was hit with a nice whiff of bitter hops. Malty bitter taste. Quite similar, in some ways, to an English Bitter. Granville Island needs to keep making beers like this. Enjoyable.
