UPDATED: JAN 3, 2015 Strong creaminess with plenty of chocolate flavour. Very sweet and easily drinkable. Chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Metalchopz (3447) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 28, 2013
Granville 12-bottle mixer pack at The Beer Store. Pours a clean copper colour with a big frothy off-white head, great retention and lots of dirty lace. Sweet and spicy nose with caramel, chocolate, grass and hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and nuts. Nice, mildly creamy mouthfeel. Mostly chocolate taste with the malt, light alcohol and a light nutty finish. Was not expecting chocolate in this one, but must admit this mixes well with the spices. Quite interesting. 3 finger head dark red. Smell is soft vanilla and roastedness smells so flipin good. Taste is some water but also vanilla roastedness, some fruit and sweetness. Sips have some spice taste and carbination is felt on tounge. Good soft light flaved ale also can taste a bit of ginger. But its basiclly a light roasted vanillaness. Good stuff. Cheer’s! lambo47 (8) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 16, 2013 does not count
Great beer and sits on the tongue just long enough to fulfill the vanilla palate. Do not get more than a six pack because it is a thick drinking beer but well worth the lethargy. So mouth invigorating chris__hartley (445) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 9, 2013
It pours ruby with orange highlights; the head if off-white and foamy. The aroma has notes of: treacle, vanilla, ruby-fruit jam, and a slight sarsaparilla. The taste is light sweet that finishes light bitter; there are notes of: cereal grain, vanilla, and that sarsaparilla note. The palate is light bodied, has medium carbonation, and a medium finish. Overall, it gets novelty marks.

Pours a deep copper amber with a decent creamy off-white head. Foamy and quickly receding. Nice aroma of vanilla up front, with some caramel malt sweetness, herbal hops and seasonal spices. Great flavour; fairly sweet, vanilla notes, malts and some hoppy bitterness. Also, some hints of roasted nuts, cinnamon and spices. Slightly sticky mouthfeel with nice bitter but not overpowering finish. Well balanced, nice flavour... something different from the standard ale.Great beer!

Can, LCBO. Sweet vanilla aroma. Dark amber pour, foamy tan head. Taste - not bad. Lots of vanilla - a bit too much - but it goes well enough with the sweet caramel tasting base. Light bodied and well carbonated. A bit watery. Not bad, but too much vanilla to get much else. Lots of flavour though. barncatmatt (2287) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 18, 2013
473ml can from the LCBO. beautiful reddish brown with a lasting tan head, looks great. nose of vanilla and caramalt body, touch of chocolate but that might just be the vanilla cara combo. sweet flavour, vanilla dominating. medium bodied. too sweet for me. jercraigs (10651) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 18, 2013
2013-01-13. Lightly hazy ruby brown body, small beige head. 3+ Sweet earthy malt aroma, notes of not quite Ovaltine seems familiar, and carries into the flavour. Sweetish middle finishes with drier accents, lightly dusty Ovaltine meets caramel accents. Bit if a vanilla note? Smooth average plus body. Decent. Horrible blind-order pairing with a pizza but saving it until the end made for a tasty dessert. Vanilla and chocolate dominate. Would probably make a great beer float.
