On tap at the moose in north bay. Clear dark brown pour, with a tiny white head. Sweet, fake, artificial cocoa aroma, light spice, and sweet butterscotch malts. This isnt totally unpleasant, but whoa is it sweet. I washoping the finish wouldnt reflect the aroma, but its just as sugary and sweet. Not awful but not my bag either.

473ml can. Pours a clear dark brown with an orangey tan head. Aroma is a head-scratcher. Cocoa, white freezies, and I swear to Jeebus, vanilla Misty Mints. The taste has a watery dark malt base, with cocoa, straw, artificial vanilla, faint mint, mineral notes, faint citrus and a chemical aftertaste. Another fine product from the chemists at Molson/Coors. Just wait until you try their Rickards Oakhouse! Craptastic!

341 ml bottle from the Beer Store (part of Winter Mingler pack). Pours an amber brown with small tan head. Aroma is gently toasty and has light vanilla, spice and caramel - nice if a little muted. Flavour has toasty caramel, grains, vanilla and gentle spiciness. Body is pretty average. Understated but good.

Not a bad winter ale. Pours a dark brown amber with a thin white top. Aroma is chocolate and vanilla. Taste is vanilla, slight bitter chocolate and a slight roasted malt.

473ml can from the LCBO. Pours deep copper in colour, with tan head. Malt forward, some marris otter in there? English hops. Not bad.

Bottle: pours a deep clear amber color with a small 1 finger white cap. Moderate carbonation. Pleasant understated aroma of spice, malt and grassy hops. Medium-light body, rocky mouth feel, rounded spicy-malty character. Flavour is very pleasant with a wonderful balance of spice, malts and hops, clean lightly bitter finish. A top notch commercial spiced ale, inoffensive, approachable and well balanced

Second go at this one , tried last spring on a visit to Vancouver Island, today a can from LCBO looks great , nice choco beer aroma, the vanilla at the end is both unique and odd like not love , nice beer to switch it up overall pretty good, would love to try on tap

Can. Appearance: Nice ruby colour with excellent clarity, large creamy light tan head, lasts reasonably well and leaves some nice lacing. Aroma: Very strong vanilla dominates, also some rum notes (actually the aroma can be well described as spiced rum). Faint hop aroma. Flavour: Quite sweet, not usually a big fan of sweetness, but this actually works for me with this beer. Not much else really, some nuttiness and toasted bread. Slight bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel: Low carbonation, medium body, a chewiness that I cant decide if I like or not. Short finish and not much of the warming aftertaste that I like in a winter beer. Overall: I could drink this again quite happily, but probably wont go out of my way to get it. Will try it on tap soon hopefully and maybe it will impress more.

Tap, medium brown colour, aroma has lots of vanilla and flavour so as well. The taste was smooth and very drinkable, I did enjoy this one
