Bottle bought @ Landbierparadies. Pours tiny hazy brownish golden with a small bubbly offwhite head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and floral with dark bread, crispbread, caramel, hay, minerals, lemon peal and hints of baked pears. Taste is tiny sweet, tiny bitter, malty and slightly floral. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny dry and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and slightly bitter with dark bread, caramel, freshly baked cookies, hay, moist soil and lemon peal. Solid stuff with a nice malt base. Would have liked more impact from the hops.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2016 Tap and bottle, this is an extraordinary smooth beer with a balanced carbonation. Some fine hoppy aromas, low bitterness. Somewhere in between Hell and Keller. Highly enjoyable!

On tap at Café Abseits. Bready and malty smell, fairly light. Similar taste with a note of caramel. Ok, but didn’t stand out.

Herrlich süffiges Kellerbier mit langem, süß malzigem Abgang. Kernig. Auch im Aroma außergewöhnlich - leicht maischig.

In Bamberg. The appearance is clear amber, white head. The flavor is sweet caramel. The finish is sweet. This seems more like the rotbier more commonly enjoyed in this area. Still I liked this.
