MoritzF (9851) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - APR 17, 2017
(bottle) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a short off-white foamy layer. Slightly biscuity and nutty malty aroma with notes of caramel and shades of herbal hops. Mildly bitter and delicately sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a calm carbonation. Slim and mildly bready cara-malty taste with delicately nutty and hoppy accents; slim bitter-sweet finish. Decent Festbier. 10.I.17

Amber with little white head. Aroma is fruchtgummi and hay, very light and sweet. Taste is slight corn crispyness with some sour and sweet malty stuff. Medium easy to drink, also crispy sour in the finish. Meh.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2017 Bottle. Amber-golden color with small head. Aroma is malty, honey, a bit nutty. Taste is mineraly, nutty, honey malts. Medium carbonation. Not bad, but Huppendorfer has better beers.

Bottle. Dark golden, low offwhite lace. Dry herbal, light metallic, a bit honey. Medium light body, mellow mouthfeel. A hint roast and grain, caramel, quick finish, feels a bit watery.

downender (8591) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2016
Bottle. Amber, with next to no head. A malty, earthy, beer with a hint of of chocolate powder and some bitterness in the finish. Surprisingly easy drinking for the ABV. Good.

TAR (2742) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - SEP 2, 2014
Draught at the brewpub, Dec. 2013: Clear burnished golden. Broken eggshell foam. Muted nose of apricot, honey-kissed toasted bread, mineral, piecrust, and honeysuckle. Light note of metal. Loose, soft carbonation. Softly malty and grassy with haylike malt and toasted bread flavors. Honeyish, lightly caramelized sugars curtail the softness as they grip the tongue. Malt takes on a limpness akin to damp hay and wet paper as it develops. Subtle waxlike character beneath it all. Flowery suggestions shyly exude amid the apricot fruitiness. Sweetish finish is lined with apricot and honey-drizzled hay and bread. No off notes to speak of, but it sure doesn’t have much to say. A very simple and undemanding Märzen.
