UPDATED: OCT 29, 2014 Bottle: Almost fully opaque golden body with a big bubbled, chunky and cloudy white head; huge, long lasting, and generous with the lace it leaves behind. Aroma is sharp Brett, mild lemon zest, blanket and cottony funk, faint must, some cracker malt, and a touch of funk Brett tartness. Taste is a ton of Brett funk. Musty, blanket, cottony and almost cheesy. Light grassy notes. Corky, with a sharp zesty hint of lemon and very faint white pepper that fades into a super funky, musty finish with a good amount of dry oak. Highly carbonated and sharp.

750ml brown bottle, corked and caged. Batch #5, October 2016. Yellow with light haziness. A sturdy short sitting white head on top, soft glass coating sheets of lace left behind. Aroma - brett, lemon. Taste - brett funk and some citrus. Dry and leathery end with soft oak notes behind everything. Nice natural feel to the carbonation and a medium body. 750ml caged and corked bottle. (Batch #5) Pours a cloudy gold-yellow with tiny yeast particles floating around and a large, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Fruity aroma of tangerine, lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, wheat malt, Brett, yeast, oak and black pepper. Sweet fruity flavour of lemon, orange peel, tangerine, lime, grapefruit, apple, pear, peach, pineapple, white wine, Brett, black pepper and grass with a dry, tart, slightly acidic finish. Pours a golden color with sudsy white head. Dry musty Orval like aroma. Soft texture. Dry musty almost funky; lightly sweet, orange peel notes. Fantastical complex and subtle. Reminds me of Orval.

Tap into a wineglass showing two fingers of clean white foam with moderately filtered bright yellow.
The nose shows light notes of bretty funk and Belgian yeast with a moderately intense bready malt backbone.

A~ glowing piss yellow haha. nice fluffy white head and a little bit of lacing.
S~ lots of bready yeast up front. followed by pils malt and some zesty rye. also some floral notes and leathery brett funk.
T~ pretty much follows the nose, extremely floral here! also a little citrus comes through, lemon, tangerine, lime, and orange zest. i think i was mistaking the rye in the smell with orange zest, every time i smell something zesty i always think rye. nice brett funk on the finish. very much like Arthur, which this recipe is supposably based off of.
M~ extremely well carbonated, smooth, and very refreshing!
O~ i love how you can really tell that both Grassroots and Anchorage had something to do with this. even in a blind tasting i’m sure i could point it out. it has the amazing citrus smoothness and carbonation of Arthur, and the incredible brett characteristics of Galaxy White IPA. i’ve never had anything from either of these breweries that hasn’t exceeded my expectations!
