4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
My #1000 beer (not 1000nd rating though). Pours a lightly hazy golden yellow with a large and beautiful white head that sticks around to the bitter end. For this is a bitter beer, but it’s a bitterness that doesn’t feel harsh but still have enough edge to keep it interesting and refreshing. The malts provide a bit of cookie sweetness to back it up without going into the crystal mess of some DIPAs. And so the hops. Oh, the wonder ful hops. They are everywhere yet not overpowering and gives flavours of ripe fruit fresh of the tree, grass, hay, citrus, herbs and a second charge of fruits. Alcohol is nowhere to be found. This is exactly how I want my DIPAs, the only thing missing for perfection is a bit more power in the aroma.

Woow . Ljus grumlig. Men varför bry sig om utseendet. Smaken rejält torr lite aromatisk . Lättdrucken lite annorlunda något parfymerade toner. Jävligt fräsch närmast perfekt IPA. Jippi. andrepintado (3598) - Lisbon, PORTUGAL - MAY 9, 2013

12 oz. bottle. It pours a light orange color with a nice white head. The aroma is surprisingly weak with some mild hints of grapefruit and peaches. The flavor has some bready/grainy malts and citrus, peaches, spice before a potent bitter finish. Nice light malt profile and complex hoppiness. A tad stale, but good. Past it’s prime. One of my favourite IPA’s. Yummy! Perfectly balanced IPA, expecially the aroma that comes out when freshly opened. Very floral and citrussy hoppy character.
Pours yellow with a slight haze and a small white head. Very, very fresh citrusy hops.
Medium fruitiness, could be a bit stronger... Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 27, 2012
In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a light golden colour with fair white head. Aroma of lemon, pine, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Alcohol is quite present in the linger. Nicely bitter. cgarvieuk (25686) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 27, 2012
bottle at home ... golden amber ... nice soft white head ... soft juicy orange zezty hop nose ... little of that toffee malt nose ... oily zezty orange ... sweet fruits ... n0mel (250) - FINLAND - OCT 18, 2012
(From notes 17 Oct, 2012) Bottle. Fluffy, large white head. The beer is a hazy copper color. Aroma is some sweet hops, apricot (?). Flavor is a grapefruit bitterness, but also some sweetness. Mouthfeel is pretty creamy and the finish is a smooth bitterness, not too strong.
Not much I could say about this one, but one thing stands out: this was a bit different from most American IPA’s I’ve had. It did not feel very bitter. Very nice beer.
