Tap @ Bishops Folkungagatan. Pours orange, beautifully hazy. Sweet tropical aroma. Clear notes of melon. Also some rather unpleasant yeast notes. Tastes a lot of grapefruit and caramel. It’s big bodied and almost sticky.

hallinghansen (3196) - Odense SV, DENMARK - MAY 29, 2011
Sample @ CBF 2011. Clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma and flavor are hops, fruit, grapefruit and citrus. Nice and refreshing.

(Bottle) Pours hazy orange golden with a white head. The aroma is fantastic with tropical tones of passion fruit and lychee up front. Undertones of wild strawberries, sweet pink grapefruit, black currant tea, pineapples, peach, vanilla and mild new cut grass. Perfect, subtle, pale and tasted malt character. The flavour is light sweet to dry, medium to heavily bitter and light acidic. Tropical, citric, grassy, light resinous and pale, toasted malty. The mouthfeel clean and round with light to medium carbonation. Lingering biterness. Citric, grassy and tropical finish. Near Medium bodied.

In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a light golden colour with fair white head. Aroma of lemon, pine, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Alcohol is quite present in the linger. Nicely bitter.

Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 30, 2012
Bottled 33cl. Murky golden with an average sized bubbly white head. Pine, cat’s piss, grapefruit, mango, sweat and pale malts showing up in the nose. Strong bitterness. A little sticky chunky lace. Creamy palate. Peppery on the swallow. Medium to full bodied. Grassy bitter finish which is reminiscent of resinous hops. Flawless and nice.

330 mL bottle. Thanks Plovmand. Pale for the style, with a nice, white head. Hazy. Big American hops present citrus both sweet and tart, as well as a medicinal note. Perhaps a hint of alcohol as well. Smells big. And it is big. Perfectly constructed. The aroma is indicative of the flavour, although there is also a surprising sweetness present from the malt as well. The sweetness is a nice counterpoint to the bitterness of the hops. Very tasty.

Bottle 330ml. Pours clear golden with a thin frothy head. Distinct american style hoppy aroma with some grassiness. Tastes bitter hops, and not at all alcohol that you’d assume. Not Bad.

Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Hazy orangey pour with a decent sized white head. Lovely hop and tropical fruit in the snout. Deeelicious hoppage in the flavour.Juicy and full with expertly judged bitterness and top notch balance. Just super drinkable, with the ABV very well smothered. A belting DIPA that’s well up there with the very best of them.
