Bottle shared, 2015 vintage. Bit hazy golden with soft pink hue and big fizzy white head. Some tiny floaters. Lots of Brett, soft lemon, Rooibos, flowers, rosebuds, soft spicy yeast, bread crust, what I guess is hibiscus. Under medium sour and light sweet, with a lingering tannic bitterness throughout. Medium bodied with soft but fizzy carbonation. Quite dry. Very nice. Svartvit (574) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 13, 2017
Bottle shared, thanks to Maakun. Pours a bright cloudy pinkish orange with an off-white bubbly head. Big brett funk to it, spices, lemon tartness, rooibos, hay, flowery(hibiscus?). Medium sweet, light sour, dry finish. Medium body, medium carbonation. sjogro (4151) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 13, 2017
Shared from bottle at Maakun’s. Hazy copper/orange/pale amber with white head and active bubbles. Some happy little chunks dancing around in my glass. Floral up front, spices, herbes, grass, almond spice, rust, rooibos, licorice root. Light sweet and bitter. About medium body and soft carbonation. Feels light and thin, thoroughly but soft carbonated. skrip (189) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 2, 2017
750ml bottle poured into a Dogfish snifter
A~ hazy copper with minimal head and slight lacing.
S~ very floral with pepper notes, followed by some citrusy saison goodness!
T~ slight lemony tartness followed by lite orange and pepper on the finish. i’m a little disappointed, the hibiscus dosen’t come out so much, but its still pretty tasty. i’m a little picky when it comes to floral brews, too much is just right lol.
M~ very carbonated! finishing with the slight tartness.
O~ pretty good saison, definitely not my favorite Grassroots project but definitely worth a shot if you have the opportunity. honestly Wachu Saison has way more hibiscus in the flavor and i don’t believe its actually brewed with any flowers. Wachu also seems to be more relatively available, definitely pick up a few bottles of it! even though it always seems to have a pretty hefty price tag. ok... yeah i got off topic lol... 2014 bottle shared with friends. Pours a cloudy/hazy orangish coppery color with off-white head that dissipates quickly. Floral notes, berries, funk, light earthiness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with more floral notes and a nice funk.

Thanks Matthew for sharing the bottle! Poured into a wineglass showing unfiltered rose pink and half a finger of clean white foam.
The nose shows brett with notes of horse blanket and upon warming up, a strong background of hibiscus and lime.
The palate is medium bodied and highly carbonated. Moderately tart with light hibiscus and rose petals followed by a white wine bitterness on the finish and lime on the resurgence. Not very keen on the white wine bitterness but still a relatively interesting beer. Korcz (3390) - Warsaw, POLAND - JAN 27, 2017

Hazy pink-red color, the bottle is slowly gushing, it has pink small head. Nice aroma, delicate hibiscus flower and funky yeast, cellar smell. Dry mouthfeel, juicy, a bit lemony, with a nice kick from the yeast. Highly drinkable, and elegant. Excellent.
Tasting at Alex’s. 750ml, bottled on 30-Jul-2015 (thx, Alex M.!). Pours a hazy rose with a white head. Aroma is fruity, hibiscus. Same taste with low to moderate level of sourness. Smooth, sophisticated, good balanced, easy drinkable. Very good.
