12-OCT-2012, draft @Mikkeller, Mortens fødselsdag.
Black with brown head.
Roasted and very fruity with dark berries.
Long hoppy and coffee roasted finish.
Low carbonation, very smooth, very nice. phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - OCT 12, 2012
Tap @ Mikkeller. Pours ink black with a nice light brown head. Aroma has lots of roasted malts - lush chocolate, sweet liquorice, caramel, black malt, a bit of breadiness - and quite hoppy. The taste resembles the aroma - but is more roasted and bitter. Even at two years of age, this is very hoppy - high bitterness, some citrus notes to blend in with all the roast. Not catching the rye here, cause it’s so roasted and hoppy. Very good. nimbleprop (8297) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 23, 2012
10oz pour at Mikkeller Bar is an opaque black with some creamy, foamy off white head. Nose is malty, toast, licorice, some rubber, Mexican chocolate. Flavor is sweet, malty, licorice, molasses, dark but not quite burnt toast, cherry, a little tire rubber at the end, some plum, dark bread. Full bodied, fairly dry finish. Missed the rye because the dark roast really overpowers any subtlety. Marsiblursi (3076) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 9, 2012
(Draught) Pours black with a beige/pale brown head. The aroma holds rye, roast and hops up front. Undertones of burned dark bread, smoked meat, mild grass and light tart/asphalt. Dry and grainy on the nose. The flavour is light sweet, slightly over medium bitter and light acidic. Notes of dark bread, crisp bread, burned grain, grapefruit, resin, dried meat and coffee beans. The mouthfeel is clean with medium carbonation. Burned, sourish and bitter finish. Medium bodied. stefannilssons (1580) - SWEDEN - DEC 29, 2011
Det här var en ytterst trevlig porter med relativt lite kaffe och relativt mycket humle i smaken. Men maltigheten är välbalanserad gentemot humlen och kombinationen blir väldigt lyckad. Slutsats: god, väldigt god.
