English: The whole concept of Papsø and dogs has always been a controversial one - shrouded in mystery. In his many, many years in television news Papsø ran hundreds of stories about dogs. But since many of those stories contained sadness, pain and agony – even dogs being put down – many came to believe that Papsø was a dog hater. As the name of this beer proves, nothing could be further from the truth. This beer is all about the love of puppies as experienced one wonderful summer camping in the Grassroots gardens – those puppies being the offspring of the famous and beautiful brewery dog Hamburglar. Share the joy of beer and pups!

Dejlig svedig humleduft. Sorachi Ace er ret metallisk og fresh men dejlig. Ingen anden duft end humlen selvom flasken er ret gammel. Ret bitter men ikke stikkende. Metallisk. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2014 Bottle at home, courtesy of Scott. Thanks man! Pour is slightly hazy orange with a small white head and good lacing. Big peachy, apricot, pineapple, bretty, lemons and toffee in the aroma. Taste is apricots, fresh caramel, perfume, grassy, vanilla, light lacto, mangos and papaya with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with soft carboantion. This beer has aged beautifully and was such a treat to try.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, thanks Scott! Hazy orange with white head, aroma brought caramel, toffee, dark fruit, earth, grain, nice peach, pineapple, nice mango. Taste is a mix of grapefruit, mango, earth, grass, grain, hints of earth, nice bread, yeast, finishing fairly bitter, dry.

330 ml bottle, a gift from Mr. Papsø himself, thanks! BB date was 12.2012. Very cloudy brownish-yellow colour, low white head. First a surprisingly fresh hoppy aroma, notes of lemongrass and dill, then some stale malty notes. Intense Sorachi Ace flavour, strong notes of dill, also lemon grass. Bittter finish. I love Sorachi Ace, but wonder if Mr. Papsø and his brewer friends have gone too far here?

Bottle, from a trade with Papsoe. A coarse big-bubbled white head, upon an unclear yellow colored body with lots of micro-floaters. Probably past it’s prime this one, considering the level of hop-freshness versus age. Regardless, an inviting aroma of fruity and resinous hops hit the nose, reminiscent of orange marmelade and lemon peel, with some leafy and minty tones. A rich caramel-scented malt aroma is there to balance. Feels full in the mouth. Thick and oily. Sweet flavor. A fine rounded malt-sweetness without any cloying alcohol. Bold bitterness. Clean and crisp. Not much hop flavor left, lemon peel, spices and something herbal is noticeable. Alcohol is very well masked. Sweet rounded, gently warm, lingering bitter finish. Nice all over!

12 oz. bottle directly from the man himself! Thanks Henrik. Best before date 12/12. Oh well... It pours a light orange color with a white head. The aroma is still pretty perfumey with florals, pineapple and coconut. Not sure if the coconut is partly due to oxidation or the SA hops... The flavor is still amazingly somewhat fresh tasting with some tropical fruit, peaches and cream, bitter florals and mild coconut before a strikingly bitter finish. Very interesting beer. Makes me want to try brewing a single hop Sorachi beer myself. Wish I could have had this fresh, but better late than never I guess. Thanks again Henrik!
