Bottle at ACBF. Opaque black beer, residual dark brown head. Crispish palate. Minerally dark malt that isn’t heavy or light but right in the middle. Very nice subtle fruit notes. Trace of coffee and brett. Nice beer - doesn’t clobber you but has a lot going on.

@ACBF 2011. I really enjoyed this one! Nice dark fruits and liquorish, brett comes through well.

On tap. Pours pitch black with a dense tan head. Loads of fruity hops along with roasted malt and liquorice. The flavour is roast, fruity hops and liquorice. Long bitter coffee roasted finish. Nice!

Tap @ MikkellerBar. Very dark brown with medium brown head. Flavour is roasted malts, bitter, chocolate, coffee, hops, dry and a little acid.

Nose is roasted malt, coffee, elegantly blended-in alcohol notes, feel is quite broad, carb is mediumheavy, taste is bitter hops ’on’ coffee, sweeter alcohol traces, then warm finish

On tap. Pours an opaque black with a tiny light brown head. Prunes and other dried fruit in the nose while the roast is fairly downplayed. Full-bodied, very intense, plenty of licorice, dried dark fruits again and even a hint of tobacco. There’s a slight malt astringency - not much funk though. Very juicy and delicious - yum indeed. 140311

Draft. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of hops, roasted malt, alcohol, and dextrose. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, smoke, wood, soy sauce, and hops, leading to a dry, roasted, and hoppy finish.

Smells a bit like dirty shoes haha. Black in color with no head. Deep roasty flavor with interesting yeast tones (apparently brett). This is a bit of a confussing beer. Notes: Alvinne CBF ’11

Pinball (12332) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 12, 2011
pitch black, smooth brown head. Hoppy ’green’ roasted malty aroma. Flavor is herbal, licorice, roasted stuff, exotic fruits. Nice experiment, but not really to my liking.
