Steve_0 (3818) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 2, 2013
Bottle at Matt’s with friends, courtesy of Aaron. Big thanks for this one man!! Pour is pitch black with a big frothy brown head. Big roasty, tangy, dark fruity, red grapey, oaky, blueberry, and vanilla aroma. Taste is big roast, bretty, vanilla, oaky, coffee, tangy, grapes, raspberries, and soy with a roasted bitter finish, Slick mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Really cool beer and a real treat to try. Pour out of 500 mL bottle, big gusher with thin tan head, aroma brought notes of big dark chocolate, lots of oaky dark chocolate, lots of sour fruits, slight funk, hints of earth, lots of sour grain. Taste is a mix of tart fruit, chocolate, some slight pine, hints of sour fruits, hints of toasted malt, finishing bitter, dry, slightly sweet.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of Papsø. Thanks! Pours a hazy brown appearance with a huge foamy brown head. Spicy chocolate roasty malty, berry, funky, light coffee aroma. Tangy rich dark chocolate, quite piney hoppy, herbal, roasty flavor with a bitter piney finish. It doesn’t blow my mind but I really enjoy it. maekchu (4054) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUL 30, 2013
Bottle. Yeast, scorched malt, and brown sugar nose. Black, with beautiful two-finger dark tan head. Blended chocolate and prunes (very light) / smooth rich chocolate emerges in mid palate / finish of light raisins and some good bitterness. Dark and chewy. Wonderful stuff. Bottle - Roast malts, wine barrel and some vinegar. Brown like mud with a thin brown head. Dark roast malts, chocolate and a hit of sourness. A sour stout that works.

On tap at CBC2012. Deep black in the glass, small head. Extrem fruity-berry aroma. Starts fruity-sweet, extrem like berries. More and more malty, stouty, earthy with chocolate hints. Warming finish. Nice! maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 6, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours black with a thick, huge & billowing, dark tan head. Very carbonated. Nose shows light hay and that typical saison yeast note - almost champagne like. Light funk comes through as well as cocoa powder and cacao nibs. Some citric hops in there too. Taste is superbly balanced compared to what I was expecting. Loads of layers which all work well. The yeast is showcased sensationally and slowly turns into roasted malts and milk chocolate. Light sweetness with heavy and lengthy bitterness shines. Light funk throughout - works very well but it is very subtle. Fantastic beer
