Krftig und dunkel. Das sehr aromatische Naturbier besitzt leichte Rstaromen, die sich harmonisch mit den Malzaromen verbinden und eine Nuance von Bitterschokolade erahnen lassen. 15.4

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2017 Euro Spar Furstenfeld. Shared with others on the Burgenland. Brownish dark body with a slightly off white head. Sharp herbal aroma with underlying caramel and coffee. Ok, slightly too sweet malty taste with caramel, coffee and dark chocolate. Liiight cardboard. Average dunkel.

From tap at Knguruh in Vienna, pours a very dark reddish brown with a tan head. The smell is molasses, roasted malt, dark fruit. The taste is dark chocolate, a touch of coffee, roasted malt, ending dry and roasty. The body is light/medium with tight carbonation.

Jan. 16. On tap at Knguruh, Vienna. It poured a clear, dark brown body with a big brown head atop. Aroma of roasted malt like coffee, cocoa and wood. Flavor was lightly bitter, roasted, with coffee, rye, a bit of wood and licorice. Smoothed by fine cocoa and dark chocolate. Relatively full body for a Schwarzbier, a quite nice one. Surprised its listed here as a Dunkel.

frothy, minimal head, disappears quickly, looks like a coke in a beer glass. aroma is roasty, some chocolate but in general a bit weak. taste is supprisingly thin for a 6.5 ABV beer. some chocholate but also a weird sourish taste, might be infected? Have to try again.

Clear dark brown color, small tan head. It seems this ones is rotten. Which is strange, expiration was still good. Anyway, acidic cabbage aroma, same with taste, infected and all, with presence of roasted malt. Creamy texture, soft carbonated. Sweet and sour finish. Too bad, I hope I will be able to try it again and re-rate it sometimes in the future.
Style rating dropped from 82 to 65 after my entry, I feel so bad right now.

Saeglopur (2007) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - JUL 15, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown body, with a medium, creamy, tan head. Rich aroma of chocolate, nuts, dark berries, dried fruits, some coffee. Taste is a bit thinner, with about the same aromas. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with a medium carbonation and it finishes moderate, roasty, nutty and a bit sour-fruity. Very good, propably one of the best Dunkels from Austria. Good balance between sweet and roasty. Unfortunately the taste doesnt fully live up to the nose, but it has a great drinkability instead.
