Very nice frothy and fragrant schwarzbier from Grauballe. Hard roasted malt and English licorice characterizes both the aroma and flavor. A little sharpness characterize the taste and aftertaste find little weak coffee. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 17, 2008
Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Coffee coloured with a sweet vanilla aroma. Lots of roast malt gives the beer a deep, strong flavour. A smooth palate rounds it off. faroeviking (10913) - FAROE ISLANDS - FEB 17, 2009

Pours completely black with a small, film head. Aroma is very pleasant, roasted, some raisins and rather dry. High carabonation, impressive mouthfeel. Flavour has great, subdued smokiness, good milky chocolate, well roasted and liquorice. Great for a Schwarzbier.

(On tap) Pours almost black with an orange hue and a beige head. Very burned malty aroma with a distinct smoky note. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt and vanilla - and plenty of smoke and tar. Some malt bitterness. Not really a Schwarzbier but excellent indeed. 140908 yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 24, 2010
Bottle. It’s a reddish dark brown beer with a small, dense, beige head. Lacings. Lightly smoked nose with roasted malts. One-tracked but pleasant. Sweet, smoked and roasted flavor with charcoal notes and some weak notes of dried fruits. Full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Moderate lenght finish with roasted malts and smoke. Maybe a bit phenolic and one-tracked, but a tasteful and smooth beer. 100924 oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 26, 2011
