Are you kidding me? This was an exceptional Porter. One of the very best I have ever had. No kidding, drink it now! nuplastikk (6289) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 19, 2009
Draft at the Tied House. Deep brown-black with stained-glass red edges. Minimal oily head. Medium bodied sandy chocolate malt. Roasty, with a mild touch of amber malt underneath. Semi-thin, not a thick milkshake porter by any means. jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 14, 2012
Pours a dark black/brown with a head of light tan foam that dissipates quickly. Nose is chocolate and malt. Rich and creamy texture, the taste is full of chocolate, dark malt and cream with very little hops evident. Bully well done beer. Pairs well with brats off the grill. Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Dark brew with thin off white head. Aroma of malt / toasted malt. Taste is good - a nice blend of sweet malts and roasted malts with a little sour hops emerging in the finish. Palate is satisfying but light for the style. Not the most complex porter in the world but a worthy one. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUL 24, 2011
12oz bottle: Pours a clear a barely transparent dark mahogany with a thin, spotty-lacing off-white head. Has a toasty, nutty, light caramel malty nose with a touch of English hops. Starts with average fullness and light malty sweetness with some nutty flavor and lingering dark chocolate and doughiness in the finish. Pretty smooth and very drinkable.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman’s Madison West. Pours a dark reddish brown with a thin head. Poor head retention. Aroma of chocolate, molasses, faint hops and a bit of a smoky note. The taste is chocolate, caramel, nutty notes, faint smoke and hops. Thin-medium bodied. Nice. Lemke10 (981) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours a very dark brown color with a very thin head that dissolves quickly. Has scents of roasted malts, with some toffee/coffee hints. Taste is thin with flavors of coffee, roasted malts, caramel. Texture is rather light and thin as this beer drinks much too quickly than it should. Got to love this beer since it’s made in my hometown and supports local jobs, but as far as American Porters on BA, this is an average beer. noncaloric (684) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 14, 2010
Draft at the Tied House. Dark brown, red highlights, moderate tan head that leaves a good lacing. Aroma smoky, a bit ashen. Flavor similar, focusing on the roasted malt, smoked meat is the most apt flavor comparison. Chocolate malt, tart cherry flavors are definitely there but lurking behind the roast. Medium bodied, light carbonation. XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Had at the 2013 St. Paul Summer Beer Fest, Typical porter, some malt, light sweet cherry/caramel, ok AWISLguy (3109) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 12, 2013
Bottle from Breeze Thru. Pours a super foamy brownish with a tan head. Possibly lost a third of the bottle, which has been sitting for a few weeks. Aroma has molasses and brown sugar with a plastic-y presence. Taste is of sweet caramel with brown sugar. Somewhat thin. Light to medium bodied. Finishes sweetly caramelly. Shrug? Somewhere between a porter and a brown, in my estimation.
