COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich in color with a strong body and a very creamy texture, the Oatmeal Stout is a true beer lover's brew. The slight hop aroma distinguishes this stout from any other. The Oatmeal Stout is robust, full of body and flavor, and topped off with a creamy light brown head.

I should exempt myself from rating this beer, coming as I do from the stouty NW. Back when I was a grad student at Madison, though, I useta love to sit at the student union and drink this, watching the poor health nuts swimming in the lake. Id generally call it a good stout, but on a summer day at the student union, its great.

Bottle from six pack picked up on way back from SD trip. Dark pour with a creamy light tan head. First whiff is of milk chocolate. Oatmeal is also noticeable on the nose. Some type of stale liquorice present in the taste along with oatmeal and coffee.

This is my kind of sweet stout. Plenty of body, oily thick mouthfeel. Sweetness offset by other things going on.Chocolate nose with roasty notes. Thanks for the trade Ron.

This beer pours a very dark brown body with a small, tan head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aromas of dark chocolate dominate, with some coffee, oatmeal, and damp earth in the background. On the palate, its fairly light and easy, with oatmeal and chocolate flavors being tempered by a gentle, but noticeable sourdough-like tartness. Its medium in weight, medium-light in carbonation, fairly dry, and gently acidic. Overall, its okay, but Id prefer a bit more richness and intensity without the light tartness.

12oz bottle Old Notes-Pours dark brown with a decent head. Aroma of roasted malt, sweetness, coffee, and chocolate. Taste of the same but pretty mild. This light to medium bodied brew was a pretty basic stout but a bit mild.

bottle - Pours near black with a one finger tan head. It has an aroma of dark roast malt and chocolate. The flavor includes some good roast chocolate malt. I thought this beer was a little on the thin side for a stout and could use more body, but it tastes good and is easy to drink.

Bottle - Nice dark brown color with a tan head. Very fizzy. Had a nice malty chocolate coffee taste and aroma but it was a little on the thin side and had an ashy aftertaste. Maybe a just got a bad one.
