COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich and full-bodied, this Foreign-style stout mimics the creamy roastiness of a traditional Irish Stout but with a significantly higher alcohol content and subtle fruity flavors called “esters.” Look for a thick tan head, dark black color and a rich, roasty full flavor. Available in September.

Can - 12 oz. Pours an opaque black body with an average, lasting, beige foamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with roasty and chocolate hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries roasted cereals notes. Ends with a good roasty, slightly warming finish. Enjoyable.

On tap at brewery. On nitro. Black pour with tan head. Aroma is toasted malt and coffee. Really creamy and very light bodied. Does not taste like 7%. Coffee without bitterness. Really nice stout, try it. Note: had non nitro version, not as good. More bitterness and sweeter, go nitro.

Found some old rating notes from TapNY 2013 that somehow never got entered. (I’m keeping this a little shorter than my normal rating style to help catch-up my backlog a little faster.)
This is a nice looking brown/black beer with a light brown head. It has a roast/coffee aroma and a similar flavor, with chocolate notes and a mild bitterness.
