Can. Cocoa malt and straw aroma. Clear brown color with moderate head. Slightly sweet chocolate malt and straw flavor. A tad light but overall very nice. bluejacket74 (1995) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - MAY 13, 2011
16 ounce can. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear amber/brown color with a half inch off-white head that went away quickly. There’s a decent amount of lacing left behind on the glass. Aroma is toasted malt, toffee, and some caramel malt and nuts. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s the addition of some light hops. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit coating but it’s also a bit watery too. It goes down smooth and is easy enough to drink. Not a bad brew, it’s always nice to see more breweries can their beer. I’d buy this again, I’ll have to try and make it to their brewpub/brewery sometime. Draft at brewpub. Poured clear dark amber color an average fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate sweet roasted malt aroma. Medium body. Moderate roasted sweet flavor and medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft flavorful drinkable beer. ContemplateBeer (2097) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - NOV 28, 2008
Light hops in the aroma. Typical light ale appearance. Flavor was fairly watery. Creamy palate. Too watery for my taste, but very drinkable. shigadeyo (3819) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 16, 2008
11/15/2008: Great Crescent Mild Ale has a really nice roasty flavor. It has a mild bitterness and good malt flavor without being too heavy. This beer is brown, clear, and has a medium-light to medium body. This is a good Mild.
Draught sample at Great Crescent Brewery in Aurora, Indiana. Rating #1 for this beer...
